Introduction
Once upon a time there was a queen who had a little daughter who was still small and had to be carried in her arms.

Naughty Child
At one time the child was naughty, and no matter what the mother said, he would not keep quiet. Then she became impatient, and because the ravens were flying around the castle, she opened the window and said: "I wish you were a raven and flew away, so I would have peace of mind."

As soon as she had said the word, the child was transformed into a raven and flew from her arm out of the window. But she flew into a dark forest and stayed there for a long time and her parents didn't hear anything from her.

Man and forest
Afterwards, a man once walked into this forest, who heard the raven calling and followed the voice, and as he came closer, the raven said: "I am a king's daughter by birth and have been cursed, but you can redeem me. " - "What should I do?" asked he. She said: "Go further into the forest and you will find a house in which an old woman sits.

She will give you food and drink, but you are not allowed to take anything; if you eat or drink anything, you will fall asleep and can't you save me. In the garden behind the house there is a big tawny hive, you should go on it
you stand and wait for me.

Stallions
For three days I come to you every noon at two o'clock in a carriage drawn first by four white stallions, then by four red ones and finally by four black ones. But if you are not awake but asleep, then I will not be saved ." The man promised to do everything she had asked. But the raven said: "Oh, I already know, you won't save me, you'll take something from the woman." Then the man promised again that he wanted to certainly not to touch anything, neither of the food nor of the drink.

Old woman
But as he came into the house, she came
old woman to him and said: "Poor man, how weary you are, come and refresh yourself, eat and drink." - "No," said the man, "I don't want to eat or drink." But she didn't give him any peace and said: "If you don't want to eat then, take a drink from the glass, once is not once." Then he allowed himself to be persuaded and drank.

At around two o'clock in the afternoon he went out into the garden to the Lohhucke and wanted to wait for the raven. As he stood there, he suddenly became so tired that he couldn't overcome it and lay down for a while; but he didn't want to fall asleep.

But as soon as he had himself
When he stretched himself out, his eyes closed of their own accord and he fell asleep, sleeping so soundly that nothing in the world could have awakened him.

At two o'clock the raven came driving with four white stallions, but she was already in full mourning and said: "I know that he is sleeping." And when she came into the garden, he was also lying there on the tangerine and sleeping.

She got out of the car, went to him and shook him and called to him, but he didn't wake up. The next day at lunchtime the old woman came back and brought him food and drink, but he wouldn't accept it.

But she didn't give him any peace and quiet
talked to him until he took another sip from the glass. Around two o'clock he went into the garden to the Lohhucke and wanted to wait for the raven, when he suddenly felt so tired that his limbs could no longer support him; He couldn't help himself, had to lie down and fell into a deep sleep.

When the raven drove along with four brown stallions, she was already in full mourning and said: "I know that he is sleeping." She went to him, but he lay there asleep and could not be awakened.

The next day the old woman said what was that? He wouldn't eat or drink anything if he wanted to die? He answered:
"I don't want to and I'm not allowed to eat or drink." But she placed the bowl of food and the glass of wine in front of him, and when the smell of it rose to him, he could not resist and took a strong pull.

When the time came, he went out into the garden to the Lohhucke and waited for the king's daughter. Then he became even more tired than the previous days, lay down and slept as soundly as if he were a stone.

At two o'clock the raven came and had four black stallions, and the carriage and everything were black. But she was already in full mourning and said: "I know that he is sleeping
and can't save me." When she came to him, he was lying there fast asleep.

She shook him and called him, but she couldn't wake him up. So she put a piece of bread next to him, then a piece of meat, and a third a bottle of wine, and he could take as much of everything as he wanted, it would not be less.

Conclusion
Afterwards she took a gold ring from her finger and put it on his finger, and her name was engraved. Finally she left a letter there, it said what she had given him and that it would never be all, and it also said: "I can see that you cannot redeem me here, but if you still want to redeem me, then come to the golden castle von Stromberg, it is in your power, I know that for sure.
