The First Word She Ever Spoke
A heartbreaking tale of a little girl who lost her father before she could even call him "Dad."

In a peaceful village, there lived a doctor who had a little daughter, his fifth child and the youngest in the family. She had two older sisters and two older brothers. One day, the father noticed that his little girl had not yet started speaking and became worried. Concerned, he took her to a pediatrician. The father explained that his daughter had not yet spoken, and the doctor reassured him, saying, "Don’t worry, she will speak a lot and become very talkative. She’ll keep talking to everyone in the family." The father laughed, comforted by the doctor’s words. He joked with his other children, saying, "When she grows up, she’ll give me reports about all of you!"
On the surface, it seemed like the family was loving and happy, with the father being kind and caring towards his children. However, despite his apparent love for his children, there was a different side to his treatment—his relationship with his wife was strained. The little girl seemed to be born into a family where her father and mother constantly fought. The father ignored his wife’s feelings and treated her as if she were nothing more than a housemaid or the mother of his children.
One night, a strange event occurred that would change the course of the family’s life. The father opened the door to find a married couple who had married against their families' wishes. The man had already been married and had a child, but he had remarried another woman. They requested to stay at the doctor’s house for just one night. The father agreed, despite his wife’s objections. She warned him, fearing that the man's children might come with the police and cause trouble. She was afraid that they would accuse the doctor of being involved in the controversial marriage, which could result in a legal case and possibly harm the family’s reputation.
The doctor, however, dismissed her concerns and allowed the couple to stay. Unfortunately, the wife’s fears came true. The man's sons arrived with the police, and the case went to court. The hearing was scheduled far from the village, and the doctor, who had a heart condition and had recently undergone surgery, was advised not to travel or eat unhealthy food. But despite the doctor’s condition, he traveled to the court, determined to clear his name.
On the way back, the doctor spoke to his eldest daughter on the phone. "I’ve cleared my name, and I’m coming home," he told her. He also promised to bring something for the children. But before he could return home, he stopped for lunch at a restaurant with his driver. He ate spicy food, even though his doctors had warned him not to. Shortly after, he suffered a heart attack and died in the car on the way home.
The driver panicked and stopped the car, calling the doctor’s wife to tell her what had happened. She instructed him to rush to the nearest city with a hospital. But when they arrived, it was too late—the doctor had passed away 40 minutes earlier. His body was brought back home, and that was when the little girl spoke her first words at the age of two—she said "Dad."
Her family was devastated by the loss. Her older siblings, aged 14, 12, 9, and 8, were equally shaken. The story of the man who had stayed at their house ended tragically as well—his sons killed him, and the family was left without a father.
The little girl, despite the heavy sorrow surrounding her, had spoken the words that marked the beginning of her understanding of the world and the loss of her father. Her family was forever changed by these events, and they had to cope with the tragic turn of fate.
