Growing Up
Hello this story is about growing up. Do you remember growing up? Personally I have three brothers. And growing up at first it was just me and my older brother we would get into so much trouble yet we would have a great time and living safe. Our father had two boats, he got rid of one of the boats by selling it to his friend. And the other boat was on the yard and sometimes when it was dark me and my brother would go inside the boat. Unfortunately we would come up with some random things to do And one night we decided to take our lasers and point them at vehicles. We basically should have never done that because one vehicle actually stopped so we quickly started hiding very well. But as the gentleman was approaching us we came to a conclusion that it was a police officer. The police officer quickly apprehended us and took us to the police station which was only like 5 minutes from our house. As we were in the police station I was feeling a bit disoriented and I did not know what to do. I was also scared and I was overhearing some loud noises as if the police officers were actually breaking the lasers. As we were in the police station I was feeling a bit disoriented and scared because I did not know what was going on as I was the youngest at the time. After all was said and done our parents were not to upset but we still ended up getting into trouble. It was really a night to remember that did not reoccur while growing up. Now the boat that me and my brother were in was my fathers favorite. He would love to take us all out in the summertime to a big lake where we would wear our life vest and enjoy the boat ride. I remember the boat going up so high and so fast that while I was sitting towards the front of boat you could see the water splash and almost touch it. At one point my father bought some sort of inflatable circular tube if you will that would attach to the boat. I was one of the one's that offered to try that amazing ride. So I got on and the boat started to accelerate and I was holding on for dear life. I actually felt like I was flying through the entire lake. Then my father took a hard turn and I seen a big wave come by me and through me off the circular tube. I stayed still and had my arms up so I can be seen by anyone that was near until my father comes back around. When I was just waiting I was feeling terrified because I was thinking that something was going to pull me down under or bite my toes. Until finally they came back around and grabbed me and I was happy to be back in the boat. We actually did this fun event a few times yearly with almost the whole family.

Brother
The day my little sister was born was supposed to be the best day of my life. I was going to be the big brother to an annoying little sister who looked up to me. All my friends had little sisters who thought of them as a mighty prince that would always protect them. I didn’t want to be the only one left out. Her name was going to be Emily and she was going to be her big brother Mitch’s biggest fan. But when I walked into the hospital room with Dad and saw the bundle of blue instead of pink in Mom’s arms, I was furious. They promised me a little sister, not a noisy screaming brother.

The Day My Sister Shit My Pants
Everyone torments their younger siblings. We do it because we can. We do it because it's fun. But mostly, we do it because we hate having to share everything with them, especially blame. It doesn't mean we're vicious monsters, though.

Why my sister is the Best
To my best friend and baby sister, The day you were born, my life became infinitely more blessed. You were a little ray of sunshine, that would one day grow up to be a beautiful beam of light. If it weren't for you, I would not be who I am today. You have helped shape me since this very hot August day, 1993, and for that I am eternally grateful.

Blood is Thicker Than Water, Always.
Being bullied from middle school throughout high school was a very life changing experience, however it built character. Personally, I find myself still learning about myself in the midst of forgiveness and healing, but that’s what life is all about. I remember being tormented in my last year of eighth grade and coming home crying to my older brother about my appearance and how much I wanted to look like a different girl.

Forever friends
Dear sis, The universe got a little brighter the day you were born. Mum loves to tell the story of how I was in the birthing suite watching you be born. Every few minutes I would wipe mum’s face with a wet cloth and go back to have a look at her birthing you, mum’s little helper, she called me. That was the day I met my forever friend, best friends for life.

Life Lessons from my Little Brother
There is no one in this world I love more than my younger brother. For the last 15 years, he's been my best friend and my worst enemy. He's been the voice of reason and the peacekeeper in the family, and he's been like that for a very long time. My mother calls him an "old soul" and I can't help but agree with her. He's one of the smartest people I know, and his mind is amazing in all different kinds of ways.

Family's Annual Tradition of Eating at IHOP
Pearl Watkins raised ten children as a single parent in the small town of Maddox, Louisiana in the 1950s. The children were like stairsteps because they were born one or two years apart. Of the ten children, there were eight girls and two boys. Pearl wanted a boy so she kept having babies until the ninth child was a boy. She loved Bernard so much that she has another boy that she named Grayson. Bernard and Grayson seemed to get all the attention, but the girls didn't mind because there were eight of them. They played together, wore each other's clothes, and even bickered among themselves.
