fact or fiction
Is it fact or merely fiction? Fact or Fiction explores the myths and beliefs we hold about our family dynamics, traditions, and if there's such thing as a 'perfect family.'
in my world of ghosts
When I was born I was different. All babies cry, but I cried all the time. My mother loves to tell the story of how she was the only one that could hold me and if anyone tried to help me I would scream like someone was killing me. Perhaps that explains the distance between us. I made her life difficult and these days I can't blame her completely. What name could they give to a child like me? When I got older I was terrified of the world. I remember starting nursery school and sitting in the corner in the shadows terrified of everyone and everything. Somedays I was so difficult and cried so much my father had to come and get me. I don't think there was ever a time that I interacted with anyone.. except when it was time for the parade. It was this parade-type thing where we marched around with musical instruments. Music was my only way of expression even at that young age. The music spoke for me. So when it was time for that parade I opened up and smiled and even spoke to a few children and played my instrument with all my heart and when the parade was done, I went back to my corner and cried. How I hated the ending of things.

Be Happy By Dealing With Your True Feelings
I think it's important to deal with how you feel at all times and to admit that feeling. If you don't do this then you don't know whether or not you need to fix something in your life. Your feelings are what let you know if your life is going good or if it's going bad, and if you acknowledge your true feelings then you can take action on your life that will allow you to be happy.

Squirrely
A young boy stares out the window of the backseat, A gentleman walking a golden retriever is walking down the sidewalk. The loyal companion didn't need a leash. "How awesome was that." the Young man thought to himself. "I want one just like that when I get old enough to have my own dog" he calls up to his mother. She looked back with a smile, "You can do whatever you like when your older, honey." not even glancing to see what was over there. Her eyes rest on the road as the young man thinks of how cool it would be to have a dog as smart as that.

The Quick and the Dead
The Quick and the Dead Softness, flannel sheets, a slight dip where she used to sleep within the cocoon of his love. He felt the coldness on his forearm. Fingertips tracing her outline in the sheets. The awakening void at the edge of consciousness. A place once filled with her warmth where he yearned to dream; is now filled with night terrors. Her body was a sanctuary for Sara, who was only two full moons away from entering their lives. The loss of her presence, the silencing of her voice, his waking nightmare. The witching hour alarm slowly enters my consciousness, a vicious reminder, as I awaken to the dread loneliness of the night. Left in the darkness of my memories, I find no solace in life’s measure. Sleep but no rest. Work but no satisfaction. Friends whose distance is mute testimony to this shell of a man. Come back to me, Bonnie Jean. I must move now or sink into the infinite void of my depression. The river has become my escape, the ripples and eddies my highway to peace. Solitude is the shroud that covers my pain. There is no justice left within the world as some moments change everything.

The Schizophrenic Whistle-blower
My story begins with the Tuskegee experiments. Shadowy White supremacist organizations in the government basically feared a black messiah so they meticulously tested black people’s D.N.A to discover “abnormations” that led to a person having different abilities. In the past, a whistle-blower outed these scientists for purposely giving black people syphilis in order to see how their cells would react in various ways. There was a hidden connection between these secret organizations, the adoption industry and the psychiatry industry. Social workers and child protection are used as tools for breaking up families that they think have “abnormations” in their bloodlines. Such “abnormations” lead to a person having abilities like super memorization, telekinesis, the ability to fly, super creativity, extreme intelligence, empathic powers, and any other form of psychic powers. Anything outside of their idea of “non-threatening” is labeled by their doctors and social workers as “schizophrenic”, so people can be secretly categorized for their abilities but dismissed as crazy or damaged in the general population of society.
