Disowning Your LGBT Child Should Be a Crime
When you bring a child into this world, they are your responsibility. It's your job to love them unconditionally, no matter who they turn out to be. Sadly, this isn't the reality for everyone. For many young people, getting to know yourself and discovering your sexual identity can be a difficult and scary process. On top of this, a big number of people have the worry that their family may not accept them for who they are. A lot of LGBT youth are not accepted by their families, which often leads to them being disowned. This is something their parents should face penalties for.

Unpopular Opinion: Having Kids is Selfish
Having kids presents many disadvantages. They are costly, money-wise and energy-wise, they take a lot of your time, you struggle giving them a proper education… and it lasts years! The Fight For His Mind
Lately he's taken to sleeping in my room, my eleven-year-old. It isn't nightmares keeping him awake and robbing us both of peace, it's the panic. Hours into what I insist will be a quick article on anxiety I finally commit to print what I've easily admitted out loud; My son's anxiety and OCD are suffocating me. The feelings that wash over me as I look across the room to watch him sleep, are not what any mother should have to experience. At the sight of my sleeping son, afloat in the largeness of my bed, I am filled with a heady mixture of love and sorrow…fear and panic.

I won't send my kids to school
Autumn 2011. North West England, UK. It’s a routine evening in our home. Although not late, the inky darkness outside would have you believe that it is. The heating is on and the sound of the rain tells me its pouring, drumming against the windowpanes, heavy and rhythmic. I am busy sorting tomorrow’s school uniform, preparing packed lunches and helping my eight-year-old son with his homework while starting to think about getting his four-year-old brother and the baby ready for bed.
