''You are completely wasting your money. It is not worth it'' said all the family members and friends to her parents when they decided to spend a decent amount of money on her studies.

She agreed too because she knew about her grades in High School. She was always a below-average student. She barely passed in all her subjects. Her teachers were concerned about her career too. After all, she was not doing well in school.

She was a quiet and shy girl. Her mother taught her softly every day, little by little. They kissed her bye and handed her chocolates before going for exams and said '' Give you 100%, you can do it and we believe in you''

She had big dreams. She never felt bad about her grades. She somehow always seems to believe in herself. She would play with her friends all day telling them how she gonna sell cakes and cookies and have a big bakery.

She would come home running, grab random things from around her kitchen. Mix them all up and try to put together a beautiful cake. Her parent never scolded her for making a mess. Instead, they hyped her up.

She knew that her cakes were not good and they were a mushy mess but she felt proud every time made them. Her eyes shined as she took out a mushy mess to show it to her parents.

The next minute, she would run to her friends to tell how she took some things from the kitchen to make a cake and how she failed. They laughed together about it. Then would tell everyone about she is planning to make another one tonight.

''But She failing her classes'' everyone said. As she grew she got good at baking. Her parents showered her with all the equipment. She tried, failed but then succeed and kept sharing her creations all around the neighbors. Everyone knew she was a good baker.

As she was finishing up her studies in high school. Her parents asked her about what university she wanted to go to. She dreamed all night day about going to take business classes to open a bakery. She dreamed and dreamed.

Then happened the day, She got up and said with bright glowing eyes that she wanted to take business classes in this big university. Her parents cheered her up and told her how proud they are of her choice.

''Oh no! Do not let her take admission to this university. The tuition fee is very expensive. She's to fail anyway. She is a quiet and shy girl. She will never fit in. So much money for what? Barely passed exams'' said her relatives.

They suggest a university with a cheap fee. Her father ignored them all then agreed on her daughter's choice.

Her parents were shocked to see her daughter second-guessing her choices. They are stunned to see how she agreed to what her relatives have said. She cried and said ''Maybe this time, it is not worth spending their money this time''

As she cried, her parents hugged her and said ''Yes, maybe you will barely pass your exams. yes, maybe you will not get good grades but the people you will surround yourself with will have the same drive as you. They will help you make your' bakery dream' come true. The grades will never matter. Your mindset will matter while running your business. We are investing in your academic environment, not your grades. We are investing in your mindset, not your grades. We are investing in YOU.''

Her eyes lit up. She cried happy tears and hugged her parents. She was shocked for not believing in herself for the first time. Maybe the mouths that never believed her, got her thinking again.

Today she graduated but guess what about her marks. Yes, she again, barely passed. But today she graduated with numerous awards and certificates from numerous on-ground competitions. She barely passes her exams but she is considered to be the brightest among her peers when it comes to real business knowledge. Yes, she barely passed but today, she rejected the highest paying offer in her class because she knew she was worth more than that. She wanted to build her dream. She wanted to own a company that pays its employees the same packages that her peers were dreaming of. She was different. She was confident. She believed in herself.

She believed in herself because her parents trusted her when she took random ingredients from the kitchen to make a mess. She knew the cake was a mess and her parents knew the cake was a mess. But they also knew, that one day, this mess can create a perfect but different and new type of cake.

That she is Me. 21 years old, who still believes in herself because her parents never took a step back and let her create her own space where she was always a winner.
