Minding Your Business

This comedy series is going to be filmed in the United States.

It consists of two families. They are next door neighbors.

One family consists of a married couple with a daughter. They are hispanic. The daughter is Chinese and adopted. The other family is composed of a mom living with her two grown up sons. They are African-American.

The series is about an African-American mom that lives with her sons and is always watching what the other family is doing. At the end of each episode, both families gather together to chat and laugh among themselves.

The following is an episode. The director or producer is free to elaborate in the episode and to create more episodes.

It’s morning and mom, Clarissa, 34 years old, Hispanic, is dressed with a bathrobe. She is making breakfast.

-Clydi(Clarissa’s daughter): Are those pancakes?

(Clydi looks sleepy and yawns as she is sitting down).

-Clarissa: Cereal

-Clydi: You are as lazy as “The Kardashians”. You could have done pancakes. I don't want cereal.

-Clarissa: I may be lazy but I don’t have the big butt and money. Eat your cereal honey. I prepared it with love.(Clarissa places the bowl of cereal in front of Clydi and chuckles. Leo, Clarissa’s husband, comes downstairs.)

-Clarissa: Good morning babe. Come sit down and eat breakfast.

-Clydi: Dad, can I go out with Ken today?

-Leo: Yes you can mija. When will we meet him?

-Clydi: Soon. Thank you.(She smiles.)

After watching dishes, Clarissa and Leo head to their backyard. As Clarissa is checking out her plants, she notices that Leo is spending too much time browsing his cellphone.

-Clarissa: What are you doing on the phone?

-Leo: Just looking at it.

-Clarissa: Nothing? Are you sure of that?(She stands in front of Leo and Leo looks up and stares at her).

-Leo: I’m pretty sure. Are you jealous?

-Clarissa: Jealous? How can I be jealous having a body like mine?(She starts taking Leo’s belt slowly.)

Right next to their backyard,Mrs. Chantell Finlay and her son, Aaron, are talking when Mrs. Chantell peeks from a hole in the wooden fence. She sees Clarissa naked caressing Leo on the chest.

-Mrs. Chantell: Oh my Jesus! I can’t believe this! This lady is naked in her backyard!

-Aaron: What the? I gotta see this. Let me see mom.(He gets up from the chair and peeks from the hole but doesn’t see anything.)

-Aaron: Mom, I don’t see anything.

-Mrs. Chantell: What? I just saw them. They were going to have sex. Oh my Lord, people are crazy. If they want to do chiki-chiki, they could do it in their room, not in a backyard. What do you think?

-Aaron: I want to see them having sex. It’s free. If you want to watch porn, you have to pay. In that backyard, it is for free.(Aaron walks out and goes to Clarissa’s house and stands behind a sliding door made of glass. He sees Clarissa and Leo kissing each other in the living room. Leo feels that someone is watching him and when he opens his eyes, he sees Aaron watching them).

-Leo: Hey!

-Clarissa: What happened love?

-Leo: Our next door neighbor is watching us from outside. He was standing right there.

-Clarissa: I don’t see anything. Are you sure?

-Leo: Yes I am. I saw him. He ran away when I saw him doing it. Let’s go to our room.

Aaron goes back home.

-Aaron: Damn, that was good to watch. Too bad it was just for seconds.

Clydi and Ken head to the living room and seat together on the sofa.

Dereck,Mrs. Chantell’s son, gets home from work. He works in Construction. He goes to his room and remembers that he lost a pen when he was walking around the neighborhood the other day. He goes outside and is actively searching for his pen in the grass. As he is searching, his sight caughts Ken and Clyde kissing. Ken feels someone is watching him and opens his eyes. He sees Dereck watching them from outside.

Ken: Hey you!!

Clyde: Who are you screaming to?

Ken: There was this black guy watching us from outside.

Clyde: I think I know who it was. Was he with a yellow with white stripes construction-type clothing on?

Ken: Yes. Why?

Clyde: He is our next door neighbor. They are very noisy. I am going to tell mom. (Just when Clyde is heading to her parent’s room, Clarissa and Leo are coming out.

Clarissa:It happened to you too?

Clyde: You mean the guy outside watching what we are doing?

(Clarissa and Leo nod their heads.)

Clyde:Yes. Let’s knock on their door and tell them.

Just when they are heading to the door,to their surprise, Mrs.Chantelle and her sons are behind the door.

-Mrs.Chantelle: Hi, well I wanted to…. Oh my!(Mrs.Chantelle notices that Clarissa is not naked. She is wearing a shirt that has a naked body painted on it.) I thought… well, someone told me you were naked in your backyard with your husband.

-Clarissa: Who told you that?(Clarissa looks surprised.)

-Mrs.Chantelle: Well, I can’t tell you who.

-Leo:(murmuring) we know who it was and it is standing behind our door.

-Clarissa: There was someone watching us from outside. Do you know who could have been?

-Mrs.Chantelle: My sons and I are leaving. I was going to say something but never mind.(Mrs.Chantelle and her sons turn around feeling embarrassed.)
