Mel said prior he wasn’t interested in meeting women over the age of 60. Due to his comments, there was considerable speculation about whether ABC would have him as the Golden Bachelor. But ABC stuck with their decision.

And tonight begins Mel’s journey.

When he retired from the NFL, he became a lawyer and the founding partner of Nammany.

Shortly after he lost his father, his marriage ended. He lives in Orange County, California, and is divorced and the father of two sons. Additionally, both his boys are students and participate in sports.

Mel Owens Spoilers

Mel hopes to find a teammate for his golden years. At the same time, he hopes the woman he chooses shares his vision and they have true love.

Although the season is beginning today, there are already a few previews of what’s in store for this season.

Additionally, there are no spoilers at this time. However, Mel did admit he made a huge mistake in his prior age comment. In the beginning, Mel apologized to the women and asked them to give him a chance to earn their trust.

Moreover, Mel said his main goal as the lead for the Golden Bachelor wasn’t to get engaged, but to find someone he could enjoy life with.
