Parental Alienation and Family Court
I recently wrote to Nadhim Zahawi, Under-Secretary of State for Children and Families, to request that he bans the use of the unproven junk theory of Parental Alienation in Family Courts. PA is being used in Family Courts to ensure that abusive fathers are given contact and residency of their children and to allow them to continue to abuse the mothers.

Locked Out
The doorbell rang in the middle of the afternoon. I haven’t ordered anything, so I figured it must be another security or internet company soliciting and I wasn’t going to answer. My two-and-a-half-year-old had a different idea. He ran full speed to the door and knocked on it shouting, “Hello? Nana, is that you?!”

30 Journal Entries for Self-Discovery – Day 4
Welcome to day four of my journal entries for self-discovery! I'm honestly impressed I still have followers. Just kidding. Kind of. Anyway, I'm excited to keep going. I hope you're all writing along with me. Honestly, it's been fun so far. Here is the quote of the day from one of my all-time favorite authors (Seriously, check her out next time you're at the library, her books are amazing); "You may not write well every day, but you can always edit a bad page. You can't edit a blank page. " - Jodi Picoult

Five Things I've Seen or Have Learned as a Parent
NO parent is perfect and neither am I. But I'm raising my son to be a man. I want him to grow up happy, healthy, and in a loving home. No day is perfect in our house and I don't expect it to be. I never want to wish the time away that I have with him, but when he becomes an adult I want him to have morals, values, a good head on his shoulder, good work ethics, and one day a happy home for him to go home too. These are just some things, some big things I've either experienced, read about, or have seen along my journey as a parent so far.

Parenting with ADHD
When my son was 5-years-old, I noticed that he was having behavioral issues at school and potentially going to fail kindergarten for the mere reason that he couldn't sit still. His father and I decided to start the process of having him evaluated by a psychologist. Every year at school after that, he kept having issues focusing and finishing his work. He KNEW how to do the work but simply couldn't finish it. After multiple tests and evaluations at the age of 7, my son was offically diagnosed with ADHD with impulse control.

The Yellow Canary
One chilly spring day, Baby Cat was out playing along the creek. As she was playfully patting at the ripples in the water, Baby Cat suddenly lost her balance and toppled headfirst into the frigid stream. She emerged spluttering with her shiny brown coat matted to her quivering body. Baby Cat climbed out of the creek and trekked home, shivering.

Pregnancy
The first thing anyone says to you when they find out your pregnant is congratulations. Pregnancy is an amazing thing that women can do, we can create life. That’s amazing and yes congratulations are in order. But maybe you just want to hear, “you're pregnant, how do you feel? What can I get you? This is going to be hard but here are some things you can read or questions you can ask or things you can look up.”
