Useful Baby Items vs Waste of Time!. Top Story - November 2018.
I'll start by saying these are just my opinions, based on my experiences in preparing for the birth of three babies so far. I remember trawling the internet for hours, searching for every little thing to make sure I was prepared. Here is a list I wish I had seen.

Dysfunctional
The title is off putting, isn't it? What could be dysfunctional? Well, it's a difficult topic, Domestic Abuse. For some readers, you'll leave at the mention of that charge, for others, you're curious what it was like, and for some it's the comfort of knowing you aren't alone. That someone went through this like you and made it to adulthood with partial functionality. Why am I still talking? Because I'd like to tell you my story, the beginning, the nitty gritty. The good, the bad, and the ugly side of Domestic Abuse.

Watching Your Baby Grow Up Without You
I want to start off with saying I wasn't forced into this decision. It is my choice and the best one I could've made. I was 19-years-old when I found out I was pregnant, and 20 when I gave birth to him. The father and I were going through some tough times as it was, and adding a baby into the mix definitely was not our plan. We sat down and talked about what we were going to do and the original plan was abortion. As we were sitting in the clinic waiting for the doctor, I came the realization I couldn't do it. This baby deserves to have a life. He told me about the wonderful woman he worked with and we started setting up the plan to adopt out my baby to her and her husband, and it is the best choice I could have ever made.

Motherhood
As I sit here staring at my computer screen, anxiously deciding what to write, I am off in a daze. I find myself scrolling through the same Facebook news feed on my phone that was there 10 minutes before. I can hear a faint snore and a heavy breathing as my daughter is swayed asleep in her swing. That is when I realize, I am a mom.

It Takes Two
Above in the picture, you will see my coworker Morgan and my daughter Adelina. My daughter is six years old and was recently diagnosed last year with “intellectual border disability." What is that you ask? It’s a politically correct term for.... dare we say it?! “Mental retardation." My daughter does not drool, she communicates pretty good, she doesn’t need help getting around, or someone to feed her. Nope! She is pretty independent!

Butterflies
Something in my imaginary world sometimes thinks about things that someone might have to go through one day, what I would do if something like this happened to me. Imagination and thoughts turned into real life circumstances. My stepdad, the man who brought me back to life when I was going down—I watched him die. He has liver cancer and knew there was not going to be a cure to bring him back to life. He took defeat. I never imagined going through something as traumatic as watching someone I truly loved with my whole heart slowly slip away from my life. Typically, step-parents are the bad guys in every Disney movie ever created. This story took a completely different turn from the typical evil parent lifestyle.

Through a Child’s Eye: The Cinema Experience
I will start by saying that I’m a movie buff, owner of almost 700 DVDs and counting, I’m one of those people willing to go to the cinema alone, I love the whole experience and would see every new release if I could. I remember my first trip to the cinema. About four years old, I don’t actually remember the film, but I do remember the cinema. One of the oldest in the UK, keeping the classic cinema look. I have a clear memory of being in awe at the plush red seats, and seeing the huge screen whilst walking down the centre aisle.
