'Otherhood'—Review (Netflix)
I am beginning to think I watch too many films. I remember thinking the same thing about the late and venerable Barry Norman, film critic on the BBC’s Film from 1972 to 1998. He was a veritable font of film knowledge and sometimes this knowledge would make him seem jaded, bored by the repetitiousness on view.

Why You Could Be Getting Your Due Date 8 Days Wrong
What’s in the picture above? It’s a due date wheel. When you book in for your first pregnancy appointment, they use this wheel to line up your LMP (last menstrual period) to calculate the EDD, the estimated date of delivery—better known as your due date.

'Otherhood' - A Review
Otherhood is one of the latest headliners Netflix has to offer as it follows three suburban mothers who spontaneously turn up in New York to surprise their sons who neglected to send any presents or cards to them on mother's day. The mothers create their own pact to reconnect with their sons which had different and devastating effects. Otherhood faces a number of important social fractions including adultery, homosexuality, cultural differences, friendship and, of course, parenthood.

Chaotic Mind
When I was a young mother, I went to school and studied psychology, social work, and child development. My intent was to become a social worker to help children. I never dreamed that my most practical use would be within the walls of my own home.

Preparing Your Child for Their First Paycheck
There are many people who go through financial difficulties during their adulthood, and the main reason for this is lack of financial knowledge. In most schools, outside of colleges and special technical schools, financial literacy isn't an educational focus point; it's almost as if finances are a taboo subject. Breaking the chain of financial ignorance is a relatively easy task to complete and it has positive generational effects once it is accomplished. The first steps that a person normally takes to begin their path to prosperity is to get a job, so it is only right that a person's financial education includes detailed information about how paychecks work.

At Home with a Child
Get dressed Encourage your children to learn to dress themselves. Take a look at their wardrobe and show them how to make simple combinations and color coordinations that they can understand. Begin with the basics like underwear and continue to dress them with explanations as you go along. Finish up with socks and shoes. Then get them undressed again and have them start to get dressed by themselves. Help them along when they need it and encourage and compliment them when they need it. Once they have the basics of dressing have them choose a school outfit each night and put it out so that in the morning they can dress themselves for school. Soon it will be routine and they will be able to do it all themselves.

The Simple Life
There are many things that throughout the course of my life I have enjoyed. Many of these things I do still enjoy, yet of late I have come to discover the many things I no longer do. The question I had to ask myself predominantly; why? The essence of this marvel of recollection came from one quite simple occurrence just the other day. That being, seeing and hearing a robin perched in a tree roughly ten feet away from where I was perched myself, singing (the robin, not me). That's it, a simple solitary songbird of no particular luminosity, plain old robin red breast, sort of the colour of a blood orange, with the light greyish-brown colouring of the average robin, in an average tree adorned with simple average green leaves. Not a spectacle to behold no matter how you looked at it really, yet I was reminded of the simplicity of the beauty of nature that I was witnessing.
