Father's Day
Father's Day Baker and Leena hold hands as they walk through the Tate Park Mall. Little Ronald and Tina are just steps in front of them laughing, playing and holding slushies in their small palms. Ronald's lips are red due to cherry dye from the drink.

Five Ways that Being a Father Will Change Your Life
1. Being a father can make you less reckless in your decision-making. Let me elaborate. When I was younger, pre-marriage and fatherhood, I was only responsible for myself. If I made a reckless decision, such as going bungee jumping, and I happened to break a leg, then it would have only impacted me. Having dependents makes you think before you just jump into something that may negatively impact your family. Even many little decisions may have a large impact, good or bad, on your family so think before you act.

What it’s Like Moving Back Home
The Coronavirus pandemic has caused many changes around the world. Many people had to move back into their childhood homes in order to social distance; I was one of them. When the pandemic hit, my college made everyone leave campus months early in an effort to stop the spread of the virus.

Panorama Results
Results are in and the check-up has been scheduled. In the summer of 2016 it was about 100 degrees in the Denver area. It was hot, I was over-heated. I was taking on a new job and was in the process of moving half way across the country for that promotion. I should have been nicer to myself, but I didn't. I sucked it up and put on my big-girl britches (Wow, where had those maternity pants been all my life? I definitely recommend jumping on that band wagon sooner than later- and for any reason). Although this child was planned, I didn't know I was stacking all of the life-changes on the plate at the same time. Oh hey, Buffet-of-Life, I'll take this and this and this! Yum! Also to my defense, when you have no children you think you can do everything at the same time.

Part 2/3: Lost my virginity at 6 years old & Danny DeVito is a douche.
Since my main goal in my short 6 years of life was to laugh and make others laugh as well, I was simply fascinated with sex. It was everywhere and it was hilarious. Everyone on TV was making sexual innuendoes and listening to adults (when they don't think your listening) gave me the giggles. I needed to know more about sex, why it was so funny, and how to get in on the jokes and understand why I was laughing instead of just seeing others start to laugh and join in along with them. I decided then, it was time for me to lose my virginity. Who needs it, right?

Just A Woman
A POT OF GRITS AND A POT OF RICE Daddy was popular in Savannah because of his radio shows on WSOK and WEAS, but we were not too snobby for the basics. We had a nice house in a nice neighborhood, cooked our own food, and did our own chores. We were not the ones to buy sprawling mansions and have live-in maids once a dollar found its way into the house. My parents came from modest means, so my mother went back to work part-time when my little sister started school. She joked that she didn’t want to be another bored, upper-middle class housewife who became a ‘card-playing alcoholic’.

5 Ways to Keep Your Child’s Brain Active This Summer
Did you know that your child could be experiencing summer learning loss? During school breaks, kids can lose as much as 30% of the academic progress that they made in the previous school year. After a long school year, many children prefer television and video games over reading and other forms of learning. Breaks and relaxation are important, but so is keeping their mind active. A lot of progress that was made during the previous school year can be lost in a couple of months. When planning learning activities, consider your child’s interests and introduce some new concepts in a variety of subject areas. Boredom never has to be an issue if you know where to look for learning opportunities. Your child may even find love for a certain subject area or an undiscovered talent. Avoid a summer setback by having your child:

Old Aches and Pains
You could definitely say that my Nan is off her rocker. I think my whole family would agree. Today my Nan is literally off her rocker. She fell off her rocker, actually. Now, here I am, sitting with her in a sterile paper room on a squeaky clean chair with a cup of incredibly bitter coffee. Nan is leaning back into her brown cardigan on a hospital issued wheelchair with her left arm wrapped up in a strange muslin material. It has been around thirty minutes since she was offered codeine for the pain and it is starting to send her doolally. Despite the situation, she is complaining that she is missing Strictly.
