Molotes
I bet that most people have never even heard of Molotes! I know them because I was born in a place that many people absolutely love making and eating them. I was born in Puebla, Mexico and moved to Colorado, USA at a young age. Where I grew up it was very rare to find other people that have even heard of molotes. I want to change that and share my joy with more people.

New Mom Life 101
This is something that was a huge issue during my pregnancy. Everyone always made pregnancy sound like such a beautiful and glowing time. Which, don't get me wrong, it is beautiful. We are creating another human being. That being said, that glowing and such was a load of shit. At least for me it sure was. Being pregnant was the most miserable nine months I have ever endured. I started from the time I took the pregnancy test. We were trying to get pregnant.I knew the day I went home from work sick that was the day I should have gotten my period, so I knew exactly what that test would read when I got home. I was nauseas and thought I was going to pass out. And the sickness didn't go away for a long, long time. Then after that it was constant exhaustion and hurting feet. A lot of that was probably my fault, I didn't slow down after I found out I was pregnant. We live on a farm, so there is no slowing down for me. The animals are mainly all mine, so I don't like to put the burden on Ty to take care of them, especially when it comes to milking the goats. Thankfully he helps as much as he can, even when I am not too excited about it. Thank goodness because I was on bedrest for a few weeks because our baby tried to come six weeks early.

Chiraq III
Chapter 3 Big Shorty and Dinky-G heard the beat of "Gangsta-Gangsta" from N.W.A. coming from the speakers. They walked into the living room and were surrounded a potent cloud of smoke that were heavy from the blunts that were being smoked at the card table near the front door. As the Gangstas walked in and were getting accustomed to the atmosphere, Big Shorty gave a quizzical smile as he saw the Lords smoking dro and playing spades. "Almight!! Almight!!," came from the Lords at the card table. It was well known that only the Lords used that word.

Life Lessons from my Little Brother
There is no one in this world I love more than my younger brother. For the last 15 years, he's been my best friend and my worst enemy. He's been the voice of reason and the peacekeeper in the family, and he's been like that for a very long time. My mother calls him an "old soul" and I can't help but agree with her. He's one of the smartest people I know, and his mind is amazing in all different kinds of ways.

Canary Birds, My Brother, & Speaking Spanish
Back in 1961, the Space Race (a time of glorious competition between Russia & the United States to be the first to put a man on the moon) was alive and thriving. This is an important backdrop to my story, because in 1961, my family and I lived in Canary Islands, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. And according to Wikipedia,
