Kiddies Story Night

Tales to sweet dreams

By Onabote Samson Published 3 years ago 3 min read

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there lived a little girl named Lily. Lily was a sweet and kind girl who loved to play in the fields and dance in the sunshine. She had a beautiful smile that could light up any room, and she loved to sing and tell stories.

One day, as she was walking through the woods, she stumbled upon a tiny little creature. It was no bigger than a walnut and had the cutest little face. The creature looked up at Lily with big, round eyes and said, "Hello there! My name is Twinkle, and I am a fairy."

Lily couldn't believe her eyes! She had always heard stories about fairies but had never seen one in real life. Twinkle fluttered her wings and flew around Lily's head, leaving a trail of sparkles in her wake.

"Wow! You're really a fairy!" exclaimed Lily. "I've always wanted to meet a fairy. Will you be my friend?"

Twinkle smiled and nodded. "Of course, I will! I have been looking for a friend like you for a long time. We can play and have adventures together!"

And so, Lily and Twinkle became the best of friends. They would spend their days playing in the woods and having tea parties with the animals. Twinkle would tell Lily stories about her magical land, and Lily would teach Twinkle about the human world.

One day, as they were playing hide-and-seek, they stumbled upon a hidden cave deep in the woods. Inside the cave, they found a treasure chest filled with gold coins and precious jewels. But as they were admiring the treasure, they heard a loud growl.

It was a giant dragon! The dragon was angry that they had found its treasure and was ready to attack. But Twinkle had an idea. She flew up to the dragon and whispered something in its ear. Suddenly, the dragon's eyes softened, and it began to purr like a kitten.

"It's okay," said Twinkle. "The dragon just wanted someone to play with. He's actually quite friendly."

And so, Lily and Twinkle played with the dragon all afternoon, taking turns riding on its back and exploring the cave. When it was time to go home, the dragon said goodbye and gave them each a shiny gold coin as a gift.

From that day on, Lily and Twinkle continued to have magical adventures together. They would play with the animals, dance with the fairies, and explore new lands. And every night, before Lily went to bed, she would look up at the stars and whisper a thank you to Twinkle for being her best friend.

And so, my dear little ones, remember that even the tiniest creature can hold a magical surprise. And with a little kindness and friendship, you too can have a world filled with wonder and adventure.

As the days passed, Lily and Twinkle's friendship grew stronger. They would spend their afternoons having picnics in the fields, reading books under the shade of a tree, and chasing butterflies. Lily would tell Twinkle about her family and friends, and Twinkle would share stories of her fairy kingdom.

One sunny afternoon, they were playing by the river when they saw a group of ducks struggling to swim upstream. Lily felt sorry for the ducks and wanted to help them, but she didn't know how. Twinkle, being the wise fairy she was, had an idea.

"Let's build a dam to help the ducks swim upstream!" exclaimed Twinkle.

Lily was hesitant at first, but Twinkle reassured her that they could do it together. And so, they spent the whole afternoon gathering rocks and building a dam. When they were finished, the ducks were able to swim upstream, and Lily and Twinkle felt proud of their accomplishment.

From that day on, they became known as the "river helpers," and whenever an animal needed their help, they would come running. They saved a lost bunny, helped a bird build a nest, and even helped a family of ants carry their food.

As the years went by, Lily grew up and had to say goodbye to her dear friend Twinkle. But she knew that Twinkle would always be with her in spirit, and she carried their memories together in her heart.

And so, my little ones, remember that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference in the world. And with a little imagination and a good friend by your side, anything is possible. Sweet dreams!
