Scottish stew for dinner at the oldest son's house

it is a whole lot better than dinty moore I told my spouse!

A granddaughter said, "it is a bit sweeter than many a stew"

That is something I never knew!

The next day we met up with a youngest daughter for lunch

we had the best chicken from Cane's fast food and what a crunch!

Cane's has the best sauce many will say,

the line never stopped while we were there that day!

Then there was a ham dinner with appetizers galore

and an assortment of cookies and the kids would keep asking for more!

There were leftovers from pizza and pasta one night,

there was cheesy potatoes, scalloped corn and fruit salad, what a delight!

Presents were opened and a giveaway too and our eight year old grand said,

"I don't really care for the turtle necklace I got...

it is kinda slow and really I would prefer the feather necklace you bought."

I said, Logan is the oldest and the first to choose

Austin was second and got a turtle necklace too,

maybe I will find another feather for you!

The seven year old wonders why she didn't get a turtle

I said they were meant only for the boys this time Myrtle

I had surgery and didn't feel much like wrapping gifts

planned to just give gift cards but I have a hard time with this

I shopped PCH this year and I almost never do that although

it can be fun and maybe it is just to throw

my hat in the ring,

you know

it could happen, this winning thing

But no, I gave in but then I had this stuff

Just perfect for a giveaway and much of it went

There were things that were just fluff

and some that would put a dent

it was fun for me and I could get rid of the pile

and it took just a little while.

On Sunday we went to a art shop called Cheers Pablo

It was fun, I know the manager, and I will follow

how they do when Pat and Megan go back again

I will look forward to when

with our youngest granddaughter, who loves painting

she told me three times, "grandma, messy!"

as I had paint all over the place and was just waiting

for someone to say, good thing you didn't come dressy!

And then hand me supplies to clean.

John saw another son and his family at the dairy queen

it didn't surprise me to see that they went there.

afterall, it is the favorite place to eat and hangout, John's lair!

We won't see everyone this holiday season,

and there is no reason

to not do all we can in a long weekend

it was quite a bit of food and fun and it has come to an end

for another year

I may even shed a tear!

We saw Crystal, Ally, Joey, Johnny and Jenn

We saw Becky, McKenzie, Colton, and Raelyn

We saw Pat, Julianna and Megan

We saw Caleb and Robin, Gracie and Clayton

We saw David, Joanna, Logan, Paxton and Brynn

We saw Autumn, Greyson, Kristen, and Austin

John saw Duane, Jenny, Kyle, and Alexia

We were happy with all of this and we heard baby shark by Alexa

We saw six of our kids

and talked to one on the telephone

We saw 12 grandkids, 3 greatgrandkids

talked to some on the phone.

I wanted this and we missed it last year for the holidays.

What do we want for next year, more of this but probably not in just 4 days

I am tired

And feeling a bit wired!

Happy Holidays to all of you!

I am so grateful to have all the love I do!
