He Who Holds Her Heart

Auburn had a hard life. To some, it would be not like any other for it to be hard but to her, it was hard. She was not beautiful in her own eyes. She was just average. Men loved her though. It wasn't because she was beautiful but because she was sweet. She had a beautiful caring heart, and she would do anything for anyone. She was constantly letting people take advantage of her, but she just never knew how to say no.

She was young when she fell in love the first time. Palmer was the love of her life, but she was only 12 years old. Of course, everyone thought that she didn't know what love was, but she did. She gave him her whole heart and she would do anything for him. She went anywhere for him. She loved him and then they were engaged. But his mother did not like their relationship. So, she sent him away. Auburn never got over him. He held her heart and she could never give her heart to anyone again.

Two years later, Auburn found him, and he told her that he was still in love with her and still wanted to be with her. She was so excited. She waited patiently for him to come back to her. She bought a ring and waited. She knew he was the love of her life and her soul mate. She knew that they were going to always be together. But that was until things changed.

A year later, her friend who was constantly in contact with her love called her. He told her that her love was with someone else and that he wasn't coming back. He felt bad for telling her this, but he didn't want her to wait her life away for this man. Auburn was devastated. So, she did the stupidest thing she could do to change her life. And with doing this, her life became changed forever.

She went out that night and got drunk and stoned. She ended up sleeping with some guy. She was not in touch with her feelings. She had her heart broken and it was gone. She was never going to see it again. She was never going to let anyone take her heart away because her first love was always going to hold it.

Auburn ended up getting with a man name Homer. He was nothing but an alcoholic. He was abusive and he was controlling. She was only 15 and yet he made her move in with him and live with him. He controlled everything she did. She ended up pregnant at 17 with Homer's child. She didn't want to be with him, but she knew he would never let her leave.

When she was 8 months pregnant, the love of her life walked into her place of work. She was shocked. There he was standing there with a smile on his face. She didn't know what to do or what to say to him but when they first started talking, it was like nothing ever came between them. He still held her heart and she held his. The only problem was he was engaged to woman who was pregnant with his child and Auburn was pregnant with Homer's. Palmer told Auburn that he wanted to be with her. That he did not want her in the situation she was in, and he would take her baby as his own if she gave him a chance.

Auburn wanted to say yes but she knew that she couldn't. She didn't want Palmer raising a child that was not his. So, she turned him down. She found out that Palmer and the woman broke up and she left him. He told her that his offer still stands. So, she planned on leaving Homer to be with him. They planned on meeting, but Homer forced her to the bed and would not let her leave. Auburn was scared for herself and her child. So, Palmer told her to stay for their safety.

After her son was born, she ended up marring Homer. She knew in her heart it was the wrong thing to do but she did it for her son to have his father. They didn't stay together long. They were only together for a year before Auburn left Homer. But Homer wouldn't leave her alone. She ended up in a relationship with a man name Troy who she adored, and he was good to her and her son. But Homer would not stop getting involved in their relationship. Troy was scared of Homer.

Auburn ended up pregnant with Troy's child, but Homer made Troy leave Auburn. Auburn didn't know what had happened and she was upset. So, she went back to Homer so she wouldn't half to go through the pregnancy alone. After she had Troy's son, she ended up finding Troy. She told him everything and he choose to still be with her. Auburn went to get him when the baby was 2 months old. They tried to make it work but Homer was still harassing them. It was never going to change.

Auburn ended up pregnant again with Troy's child a few months later. The nurse messed up and told her that she had miscarried the baby. She was devastated and she was more upset on how to tell Troy, so she just walked away from him. Auburn ended up getting with a man name Prichard a week later. Then a month later, the doctor tells her that she was two months pregnant and never miscarried. She was so upset that she just didn't believe the doctor. She ignored what he said and let it go.

Prichard was worse than Homer. He was mentally, physically, and emotionally abusive to Auburn and her children. He would cheat on her, rape her, abuse her and her children. He would threaten to kill them all. But Auburn stayed because she believed that she deserved this for what she did to Palmer and Troy. She stayed quiet and did everything he said. She would tell her children to do the same. She would protect her children by letting him hurt her instead of them.

She lived with this for 8 years until she had enough. She ended up leaving him and taking her children with her. She got her own place and was hiding from him but when he found out where she was, he would show up and walk into her place and take whatever he wanted. He would go through her vehicle while she was at work. He was constantly harassing her.

Auburn promised herself that she would never get married again and she would stay single for the rest of her life. She had too much heartbreak through her life, and she needed better for her children. Plus, she never gotten her heart back because the person that has always held her heart will never let it go and so she stayed single for her children so they would never half to go through this drama anymore. Maybe one day she will get her heart back to where she will be able to open herself up again to love but until them, he will always hold her heart.
