Happiness and pure joy

A breeze in your soul.

By Soul SyncPublished 10 months ago 2 min read

Oh, the laughter of childhood, so wild and free,

Where the world is a canvas, and joy’s the decree!

It’s the game of hide and seek, a familiar call,

Where innocent hearts and unspoken dreams stand tall.

“Ready or not, here I come!” they shout with delight,

And off they scatter, like birds taking flight.

Tiny feet stamp in the grass, faces full of glee,

The simple joy of being, the truest decree.

One hides behind the tree with a giggling grin,

Her eyes squeezed tight, but her laughter slips in.

She thinks she’s invisible, lost in the dark,

But the sun’s warm embrace gives away her spark.

Another ducks behind the old wooden shed,

Squeezing through cracks, holding her breath with dread.

She’s still, so still, like a statue in place,

But the wind betrays her, swaying her lace.

And the seeker, with eyes sharp as can be,

Chasing the thrill, her heart soaring free.

She’s not in a hurry, no pressure to win,

Just a heartbeat of joy, a world from within.

Oh, the giggles, the screams, the unfiltered bliss,

How the world spins a little faster in this!

“I found you!” she laughs, but then pauses in play,

For she’s caught in the moment, and doesn’t want to stray.

It’s the chase that’s the prize, the game that feels right,

No need to win, no need for the fight.

It’s the way they run wild, not caring for time,

In the simplicity of now, they all shine.

A boy trips on a stone, then bursts out in laughter,

His scraped knee forgotten in the joy of what comes after.

He reaches for the sky with his hands spread wide,

And in that second, you see the whole world inside.

The girl behind the bush holds her breath tight,

But the sound of her giggles gives away her sight.

She doesn’t care, her heart knows no fear,

For the joy of the moment is all that’s clear.

They play not to win, but to live in the now,

With the wind in their hair and no reason to bow.

Their hearts untainted, their spirits pure,

They know the secret—that joy is the cure.

And as the seeker closes in, eyes wide and bright,

There’s no disappointment in the wrong or the right.

To be found is a gift, not something to dread,

For the laughter they share is all that’s said.

The game moves on, and the children scatter,

Each of them chasing what truly does matter—

The laughter, the joy, the sweet moment shared,

The simple connection that shows they care.

And in that innocence, that childlike grace,

Lies the truth of what it means to embrace—

To live in the present, with no thought of the past,

To love with pure hearts, so simple, so vast.

In every giggle, every innocent chase,

There’s a reminder of a world that’s full of grace.

And as the sun sets, they all gather ‘round,

A circle of joy where love’s the only sound.

To be a child again, free from the weight,

To see the world through eyes that create.

The joy of hide and seek, of being alive,

Where happiness flows, and hearts truly thrive.

For in those moments, the world is so wide,

And everything seems perfect with nothing to hide.

In the laughter, in the play, in the way we are free,

There’s a reminder to live—just as we’re meant to be.
