Finding Comfort in the Heart of Gurgaon: My Stay at a Serviced Apartment in Ardee City

A Personal Take on Finding a Balanced Stay in One of Gurgaon's Most Livable Neighborhoods

By Talib KhanPublished 9 months ago 3 min read

Gurgaon isn’t just a city of corporate towers and fast-moving traffic—beneath the hustle, there are pockets of calm that make long-term stays surprisingly peaceful. When I found myself needing a place to stay for a few weeks—somewhere between a hotel and a full-on rental—I stumbled across a solution I hadn’t considered before: a serviced apartment.

Hotels, while convenient, tend to lose their charm after the first few days. Room service feels repetitive, the space starts to feel restrictive, and there’s a longing for something more grounded. I needed a place that felt like home but didn’t come with the hassle of leasing or furnishing. That’s when I came across a quiet option tucked inside Ardee City—an established residential area not far from the bustle of Gurgaon’s central hubs.

The apartment offered everything I was looking for: a furnished space with a living room, a working kitchen, laundry services, and reliable Wi-Fi. It wasn’t overrun by hotel staff, but it wasn’t isolated either. There was housekeeping available when needed, and the staff respected privacy. More importantly, it was located in a safe, gated community close to markets, cafes, and even a few green patches for morning walks.

For professionals on temporary assignments, medical tourists visiting nearby hospitals, or even remote workers just needing peace and fast internet, this setup makes a lot of sense. I found myself settling into a rhythm: brewing coffee in my own kitchen, attending meetings in a real workspace, and enjoying the freedom to cook or order in as I pleased.

Ardee City, in particular, struck a balance I didn’t expect—it was residential but not boring, calm but not disconnected. Within 10 minutes, I could be at Cyber Hub, or down Golf Course Road for meetings or meals. When friends visited, they were surprised by how comfortable and spacious the apartment was compared to hotel rooms they’d booked nearby.

What I appreciated most was the flexibility—no long-term contracts, yet the comfort of being able to unpack and feel at home. It made my time in Gurgaon more personal, less transactional. And for someone who juggles multiple roles—remote worker, occasional traveler, and someone who values quiet—it checked all the boxes.

The space had thoughtful details: blackout curtains for better sleep, a small desk to set up a proper workstation, and even a cozy couch perfect for evening reads or video calls. These may sound like small things, but when you’re away from home for more than a few days, these details start to matter.

Beyond work, the apartment’s location also made daily life easier. Grocery stores and delivery apps covered all my needs, and for the days I didn’t feel like cooking, there were plenty of good food options just a short walk away. Ardee Mall had some nice cafés and the occasional live performance on weekends—a nice break from work life.

What really made the experience memorable, though, was the human touch. While I wasn’t looking for hotel-style service, the staff at the property were friendly, quick to respond, and helped with small things like getting a water filter replaced or arranging transport when needed. It was service with discretion—not in-your-face, but reliable and considerate.

Would I stay in a serviced apartment again? Absolutely. In fact, I’ve recommended it to a few friends who are planning long-term visits to Gurgaon, whether for medical treatment, project work, or extended holidays. It’s a blend of comfort and practicality that’s hard to match, especially in a city that never seems to pause.

To anyone planning an extended visit to Gurgaon, I’d say this: consider your comfort and lifestyle needs. Hotels might work for short trips, and full rentals make sense for long-term relocations—but if you're somewhere in between, a serviced apartment, especially in a well-connected, peaceful area like Ardee City, might just be the perfect fit.

Sometimes, all you really need is a space that gives you the freedom to be yourself—even when you're far from home.
