Lynne started to wake up slowly. She rubbed the back of her head and felt where its head bounced off the deck of the boat. "Rise and shine, sleepyhead," said Lee. She slowly turned her head and started to be lightheaded as if she would faint again. Lee saw his sister turning white again, quickly handed her a glass of water. "Hey, easy, I know this is a lot to take in," slowly rolling his eyes towards the ceiling. "That's it, sip it slowly." Lynne finally found her ability to speak and stammered," H-o-0-ow is this possible?" "Honesty, sis, I don't have any idea. One minute I'm repeating a day of hell over and over like a broken record, then one day, this guy wearing an all-black suit ends standing in the middle of the room and telling me time to go skipper, and a sly little grin. " Lynne had been laying on the bench in the kitchen area of the cabin. As she starts to sit up, Lee ruses over to her and supports her back. Without thinking, Lynne throws her arms around his neck and begins to quietly weep and squeezing as tight as possible.
The only thought running through her mind at this moment was how much she had dreamed of it and how she had always said she would never let go. But, Lynne, Lynne, you got to loosen your grip. I promise you this is real, I can't explain it, but I"m here. Please don't kill me before we reach or find the lost city." he said to her as he rubbed his hands at the area she had squeezed. The next thing Lee knew was he was being smacked repeatedly. "Why tell me! she yelled and returned to slapping him with everything she had. Ouch, that really hurts, stop. Why, What?!" Lee said as he tried to guard himself against his sister's attack. As he looked up, he caught the gaze of her eyes and see all the pain that had been left when he chose to take his life. Lee felt a massive wave of guilt come over him, seeing the tears just streaming from her eyes. With each slap, the harder they fell.
I'm sorry, I didn't think, I didn't know. " he tried pleading with her. Finally, the last swing of her arm, he caught and taken both of her hands, placed them on each side of his head, in hopes that she would look at him and see how much it hurt him too. She collapses back on the bench seat and just lowers her head as if she was defeated. You left me alone!! She exclaimed. No warning, no note, nothing! Gone! What did you think would happen to me?! Want to know? She snarled. She stands up, heading up the stairs to the deck; she needed some air for this, Lynne thought.
As she came to the top of the stairs, there was a soft breeze. She stood on deck. The sun came from behind a cloud and shined on her, making her almost glow. As Lee came up behind her, seeing Lynne arch her face towards the sunlight, closing her eyes. Lee thought this must be how she talks to me. "Look, Lynne, I" Lee knew if he didn't say something to put down the odd silence between them. "MY TURN!! Lynee screamed. As she slammed down her foot and both her balled up and slamming them against her thigh. All the energy and emotion she had just unleashed on him proved to be too much for her. She had felt her head become really heavy and foggy, then everything went black. As Lynne fell to the floor, she had seen her brother lunge as to try to catch her, and the last thing heard before hitting bottom is, Oh god is that blood, Lynne? Are you ok ?!
Lynne wakes to find herself not on the boat but in a very dark room. She didn't know where she was, but it felt familiar. As Lynne slowly starts to get off what she, assumes is the couch. Then, she slowly begins to get up, off the furniture she is lying on. Leans over the coffee table in front of her. Leaning as far as she could over the table to see if there was anyone else here. She didn't know whether to say something or stay as quiet as she can. She couldn't see very well in the unlit room
