Birthday wish

Today is your day to have fun. You have entered your 71 years on this planet called earth.

I just want to write down a few things about you for a change of pace.

You are a man that has been through a lot all in your life. I am only going to write a few things about them.

The first would be that you lost your father at the age of 15 years old. You had to be the man of the house are people would say in your time. In the true form of that saying you were that man. You have come far and have done great things in your life.

Your career speaks for itself as you were a firefighter and a banker. All this without a college education.

It shows what type of person you are. You are a caring person and people know things.

The second thing was you gave so much to people in your life and you still do. No matter what is ask and has to be done. You never complain about what makes you mad or upset. You just go on and deal with it.

The third thing is I have been in your life for almost 30 years now. I can't believe that you and I have made it this long. Wow is the only word that I can say about this.

It has had it up and down. We never knew what life was going to be but when we has a preemie son. Who would grow into his body and AD/HD when he was growing.

Again you took it without complaining about it. This is why you were the person you are.

I am glad we had a son to carry on the family name.

We have the best things that money can buy. Our house has things that show who we are and where we have been. It is our little slice of heaven. You always say we are don't keep with The Jones next door or one street over. This is our house and we will make it our own place.

This is our second home together since we packed up everything 6 years old and move to Florida. I think that is the most courageous thing you and I have done. With a teenager and dog in tow. Together made it a home to be proud of.

Shorty as we moved into our second home in a new state you were got the worst news that anyone can get.

You have Cancer. It is aggressive stage 4 Prostate Cancer. You would lose one kidney because it had Cancer in it. You stepped up to the plate and dealt with as I knew that you were.

It ain't going to stop me. That was 5 years ago. Bloodwork every month to see how your Cancer is doing.

You don't mind the sticks of the needles that each month you just deal with it. You just hate it when I pull off the band-aid a few days after your treatment.

The last thing I promise. Today is your birthday. You have made it to 71 years old today.

Sit back and look at what you have done in your lifetime. You have done a lot in this time called your life. I can't wait to see what this year will bring to you. I know that it is only the best life can give you.

Take each day as it comes now. Never stop being that person I fell in love with. Each day is a new one. The past is the past and you can't bring it back.
