Benazir Kafalat Program 2024-25 Updates

      Increase in Payments

The BISP Program has announced an increase in payments under the Kafaalat initiative. Beneficiaries will now receive Rs. 13,500 per quarter, up from Rs. 10,500. This change takes effect in January 2025 and will help families cope with rising living costs. If you’re eligible but haven’t registered yet, now is the time to do so. The registration process is explained below.

How to Register for the Benazir Kafaalat Program

There’s no deadline for registration. If you meet the eligibility criteria, visit your nearest BISP office with your original ID card. Here’s what to do:

  1. Present your ID card and your child’s Bay Form at the registration desk.
  2. Receive a token after your documents are verified.
  3. Proceed to the survey registration room when your token number is called.
  4. Complete the survey, as it’s a required step for registration.

Note: Registration cannot be done online. You must visit the office to complete the process.

Verify Your Status via the 8171 Web Portal

Women who have already registered can check their status online through the 8171 web portal of BenazirKafaalat.pk. If you see a message like “Your survey has been completed and is under review,” don’t worry.

According to the latest updates, eligible applicants will be notified by the last week of December. Those who don’t meet the criteria will see a message indicating their ineligibility.

Expanded Coverage for 2025

In the first phase of 2025, the program will provide Rs. 13,500 to eligible recipients across several districts, including Islamabad, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Punjab and Sindh are also part of this rollout, covering areas like Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Karachi, and Hyderabad. Regions not included in this phase will be addressed later.

New Banking Partners to Streamline Benazir Kafalat Payments Starting January 2025

The Benazir Income Support Program has announced an increase in the payments under the Benazir Kafalat Program. Beneficiaries will receive Rs. 13,500 instead of the previous Rs. 10,500 from January 2025. Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of BISP, shared this update, which is expected to benefit millions of deserving women across Pakistan.

If you're registered under this program, there's more good news. The government has started including 7 lac new families in the initiative, providing a chance for those who qualify but haven't yet joined. If you meet the eligibility criteria, this is your opportunity to register and receive financial support.

Increased In Number of Banks for Payments

To improve efficiency and curb corruption, payments will now be distributed through six banks, allowing beneficiaries to withdraw funds via ATMs. These banks include:

  • Bank Al Falah
  • Bank of Punjab
  • Mobilink Microfinance Bank
  • Telenor Microfinance Bank
  • Habib Bank Limited (HBL)
  • HBL Microfinance Bank

This change eliminates the need for camp-based distributions, ensuring greater transparency.

Registration and Payment Updates

The new registration process is ongoing, with a target to increase the number of beneficiaries from 9.3 million to 10 million by next year. Women from underprivileged families are encouraged to visit their nearest BISP office with the required documents to complete their registration.

Check Your Payment Status Made Simple

For those wondering about their payment status, the process is straightforward. Use the 8171 SMS service or visit the BISP official website. Send your CNIC number via SMS to 8171, or check online by entering your CNIC and the provided code. This allows you to verify your status from home and visit the designated payment centers to collect your assistance.

This initiative is a step toward providing financial relief to deserving families and ensuring transparency in the distribution process.

Conclusion

The program is more than just financial aid. By offering direct cash transfers to women, it supports financial independence and helps families with essentials like food, education, and healthcare. As it expands, the initiative will reduce poverty and inequality, creating a more inclusive future for Pakistan’s underserved communities.
