Beckham: Insist on being the perfect father

He's not the center. He's the center

By Wallis StuartPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

David Beckham dreams of flying to the moon one day. Given his immense achievements and ambitions, no one should be surprised to see him wearing an Armani spacesuit, tapping on NASA radar, and sitting on a four-by-four lunar probe piloted by Patrick Moore.

Beckham always wants to reach for the stars. He might be able to if he wanted to. Beckham's name was first introduced to the world 10 years ago, marking the beginning of a super miracle marriage of sports and business.

It's not that Beckham is always at the center of public opinion, it's - he is the center. The process of proof is itself an even greater miracle: a washed-up superstar purged from retirement in the United States who has repeatedly been the savior of the two teams with the most stars (Real Madrid and England); He is a 32-year-old player who should no longer be on the radar of the mainstream sports media, but still has the same commercial appeal as in his prime.

My son is more important than football

He has a shiny one, and he has a metal camera from the 2001 BBC Sports Personality of the Year. But as a father, Beckham won two awards that mean a lot to him - "Perfect Father" by a British health insurance company and "CELEBRITY Dad" by the famous Epperson.

Beckham and Victoria's mother were with his wife Victoria when she underwent a Caesarean section at a London hospital in 1999. When their first son, Brooklyn, was born, Beckham and Victoria's initial decision was to take care of their son, rather than hire a babysitter like most other wealthy and busy couples. The thought that Brooklyn would seek solace in a nurse rather than in any of them was terrifying.

Beckham was taken aback by the emotional impact of becoming a father. Footballers are not known for their sensitivity, but David was stunned, first to learn that Victoria was pregnant and then even more so when she was born in Brooklyn. He has since declared that holding his son was the most emotional moment of his life. Suddenly a new life was lying in his arms, and this life was more important than the most important football game. Victoria praised her husband for his tireless efforts to be a caring and considerate father.

"Fatherhood has given me a whole new sense of responsibility"

Beckham spends as much time as he can with his children. He wasn't trying to get publicity or impress anyone else. He would spend hours gazing at his son. "Somehow I felt like he was a part of me." "I remember when I was a kid playing football and I hurt my foot," he said. My father could see that I was in great pain, and he said, If I could bear your pain on my feet, I would. At the time I didn't believe what he said was true. I thought it was just a nice thing my father said. But now I realize that everything he said was true. If I could, I would take all of Brooklyn's pain for him. I will do everything for him and make his life as good as I can. Being a father has given me an incredible new sense of responsibility."

David Beckham can spend tens of thousands of pounds on a party for his son's birthday. Beckham even skipped United training because of his son's high fever. He and Victoria decided to raise their son to be caring and polite. The first word Brooklyn learns is "please." They don't want their child to be a spoiled brat.
