A Prayer For Peace

A Treatise For the Waking Worlds of Safe Conditions For Our Children.

Sunflower-For the People Of Ukraine

I go to sleep every night thinking of the children, and I wake up every day with them on my mind, and in my heart.

As a Mother in the safety of the west, I am not in any way qualified to guess what this must be like for the people of the Ukraine. I am however, not willing to remain silent about the conditions that they are experiencing. It never ceases to amaze me that in 2022, after all that humanity has survived to arrive in these times, that war is not something we have made obsolete.

here is my prayer for the people of the Ukraine, and most importantly for the children, parents and grandparents of the Ukraine, and the world.

All Children are my Children, all Mothers are Me. Loving so deeply, seeking only safety, seeking only shelter and sustenance. Would that these things not be an impossible dream, for all children and mothers, everywhere. A simple request, one would think.

May the Men in power who think they can own our freedom and rights to life be awakened in the suddenness of the sunlight. The knowledge that they have done wrong, known.

May the dawn of golden days promised sprout in their hearts, large and grand like the Sunflower. May it not be the blood of the people that fertilizes these fields, as the poppies of Flanders must remind.

God, Goddess, Universe, please guide and protect the innocents of these places, where darkness has dared to tread. Cast those whose darkened hearts seek only violence and bloodshed, out to be healed in the ethers of divine consciousness until they too can be born as innocents once again.

Gather together, Our Global Family united in one prayer, one hope, one dream, of Peace for our children. No difference greater than our commonalities. No desire to separate and cast aspersions on any who come from a place of love. A place of freedom, and a place of expanded abundance for every nation.

May the children know laughter and soft grass beneath their feet. May they run through fields of wild abundance, tended by Love. May the Guardians of all goodness be at the helm of this garden, upon which we all reside.

May the days of tanks, and bombs, and poisoned waters be tale of warning in a story we read at bedtime. A cautionary tale that speaks to the audacity of taking ownership of the elements that are life.

May the tipping point of awareness and divine love anchor NOW. May reality be colored by the light of loving hearts and not hateful ones. May we know our birthright of connection, and the ability to foster healing.

To leave destruction to the natural cycles of life and universal laws. Where it belongs. Not in the hands of little minded souls, whose anger destroys all hope. The tantrum of the selfish and deluded. The toddlerhood of mentality ending as the Mother of our waking consciousness takes a firm but loving hand to simply say NO.

May we know we are much more than insignificant, May we know the embodiment of all elements are within us, and we are all sacred.

May we recognize that darkness exists only to show us who we are not. May we take hold of the torches of infinite light that we are, and chase all shadows to the edges of the dawn where they belong. Illuminated by our errors but not encapsulated by them. Through Love to Virtue, Not through violence or cunning, towards the days that live in every heart, somewhere. However deeply or however forgotten.

Bless The Children, to whom we owe our actions and deeds. As in all light so in all forms. So mote it be.
