Petals to my flower.

Roses. Pink, Red, and White. Those are her favorite, the smell they give off puts her in a happy place. She once had her own life, living to the fullest trying to figure out the person who she wants to become. Blinded by love when she was younger, she fell for an older man and knew one day she would marry him. Blooming into the young woman she had become and marrying her crush so young, she had her first Kid at the age of 21.

A pink rose: She had a baby girl! A mother’s new love, her heart warm, her glowing face, the bond she will forever have with her baby girl. Starting a new chapter in her life, starring at her husbands, and into her daughter’s eyes in her arms she knew she had all she wanted. Two years later she welcomed another baby girl into the world. Her family was complete, looking forward to the years she will cherish with her family lifted her spirits. A bed of pink roses she will always receive for Mother’s Day and special occasions, showing her that her family adores her. She was a bud and her petals bloomed into an amazing woman. Two girls, what a wonderful gift from God. As the years go on, she continues to do all she can for her daughters and husband. Has a job, makes dinner after long hours, attends school games, grocery shopping and so on. She is a mother and a wife, in her daughter’s eyes, but especially just a mom. They do not realize what all their mother does for them and do not think to understand that she is just a person and still has a life to live, to find herself.

A red rose: Divorce. After her kids graduated high school, she divorced their Dad. She had been unhappy for a long time and never felt that romance, the passion she admired and had been yearning for so long. Roses are her favorite, the smell the beautiful colors, the story behind every color and her happy place. As broken as she is the petals had fallen, a dark place her life falling so fast as to she could not pick up the petals as fast enough to save her relationship with her daughters. A mother’s love for her daughters runs so deep that they could never possibly understand. She put her whole heart and soul in being a mother, and doing everything in the world for them, and yet to be torn apart and poked by thorns. She is a beautiful woman inside and out. She is a boss mom, she would do anything to protect her girls, to give for her girls. Who is trying to find herself again and still bloom into the woman who she is supposed to become. Life is hard, being a mother is even harder. Her life is their life, but we cannot dismiss that she is still living. A boss mom who gave up her life for her precious girls. Works two jobs, cries alone at night just trying to survive. As she hides the pain she continues to die inside slowly and slowly.

A white rose: Mother, I love you, adore you, admire you. All the things you have given up making your daughter’s have a good childhood. You were still learning, growing, and figuring life out. It may not have been simply, but you have never given up, you have taught us it is never to let to be the woman you are meant to be. My sister and I were not always the nicest to you and may have hurt your feelings. We never understood you when we were younger. I know you did the best you can, and you continue to do so. Do not worry, my sister will come around and one day be close to you like how we are. We all heal and grow in time. Though it may be a few years before she fully understands. I can promise you one thing, she does love you. I love you. We our immensely proud of you. You are one beautiful rose with many colors and will always bloom. A white rose, pure, selfless, and simply gorgeous. You are a Boss mom. Our mom.
