5 - Canada Penthouse

Currently the largest ever private real estate transaction in history, this $25 million dollar penthouse covers the top three floors at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver.

To make sure the penthouse was 100% private, Sheikh Mohammed purchased the two floors below for good measure.

The total price for all five was $55 million and the penthouse features floor to ceiling windows on most of the building with amazing views of the surrounding Canadian countryside.

The penthouse features a large living room, multiple bedrooms, chefs kitchen and an almost unlimited number of closets.

4. Dubai Yacht

Originally called the Platinum, this yacht was commissioned by Prince Jefri Bolkiah of Brunei in 1996 and was originally built by the German shipbuilder, Lürssen.

The yacht was later acquired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, who then renamed the yacht after the city.

The Dubai yacht is an impressive sight to behold, measuring 162 meters (531 feet) in length and featuring seven decks.

The yacht has a total of 42 rooms, including a master suite and six VIP suites, and can accommodate up to 115 guests.

The interior of the yacht is adorned with luxurious finishes and furnishings, including marble and gold accents, and features a variety of amenities, such as a cinema, a disco, a spa, and a swimming pool.

The yacht is powered by two MTU diesel engines that give it a top speed of 26 knots and it has a range of around 8,500 nautical miles, allowing it to cruise to almost any destination in the world.

The yacht also features a helipad, which is located on the fore-deck and can accommodate a helicopter weighing up to nine tonnes.

3. Scottish Estate

Called the Inverinate Estate, this has to be one of the largest properties in the empire of the Sheikh and is located in the Scottish Highlands, covering an area of over 63,000 acres.

Said to be one of the largest private estates in Scotland, the estate is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including red deer, mountain hares, and golden eagles.

The estate includes several properties, including a 16th-century castle, which was originally built as a hunting lodge for the Clan Mackenzie.

The castle has since been renovated and is now used as a private residence for the sheikh and his family with the estate also including several cottages and lodges, which are used as holiday homes for the sheikh's guests.

Said to be a favorite retreat for the sheikh and his family, the estate is used for a variety of events, including shooting parties and highland games.

The secluded retreat has three helipads, is protected by numerous bodyguards and includes 14 bedroom manor house that the family visit in the summer to escape the stifling Dubai heat.

2. Camels

Most people have cats, many have dogs, but when you are one of the richest people in the United Arab Emirates, you can afford to drop close to $2.72 million on a female camel.

Purchased at recent camel beauty pageant in the United Arab Emirates, the contest included over 10,000 camels from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain.

Organized by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage in order to celebrate unique aspects of the Gulf region’s culture, it is known that female camels are faster than their male counterparts.

What makes the contents popular is that owners of winning camels will receive a total of $9.5 million and 100 cars.

It is currently unknown what plans the Sheikh has for his new camel, however, if his horse empire is anything to go buy, it will only be increasing in value.

1. Car Collection

When you have as much money as Sheikh Mohammed, why not splash out on some of the most expensive cars in the world and that is exactly what Dubai's ruler has done.

Looking at the first of this insane super-car fleet, his Bugatti EB110 was produced in 1991 and its rare, when a model does come up for sale, you can expect it to sell for around $3.16 million at auction.

Sheikh Mohammed is not just into older Bugatti models as he owns the Bugatti Chiron valued at $2.9 Million and the Bugatti Veyron valued at around $1.9 Million.

Other cars in his extensive collection include the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, Rolls-Royce Phantom, Bentley Continental GT, Aston Martin One-77 and Lamborghini Aventador.

He owns a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and a $7.1 million McLaren P1 that is thought to be custom made and is the GTR version, these almost never come up for auction.

Another of his well known cars includes the rare Ferrari Enzo, valued at upwards of $2.8 million and still one of the most powerful naturally aspirated production cars in the world and only 400 of them were ever produced.
