God’s Commitment to Your Success

Success is Built-in by the Creator

God is more committed to your success than you are. Why? Because your success is important to God. When I discovered this at 17 years old, it changed my life. I realized that success is built into creation by every manufacturer, and God is our ultimate Manufacturer.

The Manufacturer’s Promise

Consider an iPad. It bears the Apple logo, symbolizing the company’s reputation. Before it leaves the factory, Apple ensures that everything necessary for the iPad's success is built into it. They place the product in a box along with a manual. This manual, derived from "manual" (from Latin "manu" meaning "hand" and "al" meaning "to think"), represents the maker's mind on paper. The first thing you see is the manual, which contains promises and laws.

The Importance of the Manual

The manual details the product’s capabilities and how to ensure its success. It provides instructions, laws, and warranties. Similarly, God’s Word is our manual for life. Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." The Bible is filled with promises and instructions to guide us.

Success and Obedience

Just as an iPad must be used according to its manual to function correctly, we must live according to God's laws to succeed. The manual includes a warranty that promises protection and repair if the product is used correctly. God guarantees our success if we follow His laws. He protects and restores us not because of who we are but because of His reputation.

Authorized Dealers

The manual advises against unauthorized repairs, directing users to authorized dealers only. Likewise, many philosophies and beliefs exist, but only Jesus Christ is the authorized way to God (John 14:6). Following unauthorized paths leads to failure.

God's Guarantee

God's reputation is at stake in our success. He made us in His image (Genesis 1:27), and our failure reflects poorly on Him. Therefore, He is deeply invested in our success. Psalm 23:3 says, "He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake." God’s commitment to us is ultimately about His name and reputation.

The Manufacturer's Image

We are created in God’s image, making our success vital to Him. If we fail, it tarnishes His name. God’s promises throughout the Bible emphasize this. Despite our flaws, He prospers, restores, heals, and redeems us for His name’s sake (Ezekiel 36:22-23).

Success is Inevitable

No matter your current situation, God guarantees your success for His name’s sake. Trust in His promises and follow His laws, and you will thrive. Isaiah 55:11 states, "So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."

Practical Steps

To align with God’s plan for success:

Read and meditate on God’s Word: Psalm 1:2-3 encourages us to delight in the law of the Lord and meditate on it day and night for prosperity.

Follow God’s instructions: Obedience to His commands leads to blessings (Deuteronomy 28:1-2).

Trust in His promises: Believe that God’s plans for you are to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

Conclusion

From this day forward, embrace the truth that God is more committed to your success than you are. Your success is for His glory and reputation. Live according to His Word, and you will not fail. Remember, "For the sake of His great name the Lord will not reject His people, because the Lord was pleased to make you His own" (1 Samuel 12:22).
