"Do not be afraid, only believe"

Don't Be Afraid: Only Believe

In the midst of trials, it's easy to lose hope and give in to fear. However, as believers, we are called to trust God even when things seem to get worse. The story of Jairus and his dying daughter, as well as personal testimonies of faith, remind us to keep believing despite our circumstances.

# The Test of Faith

In Mark 5:35-36, it says, "While he was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue's house and said, 'Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?' As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, 'Do not be afraid; only believe.'" These words were spoken to Jairus, whose daughter had just died. Jesus encouraged him to continue in faith despite the dire news.

"Do not be afraid, only believe" (Mark 5:36). This declaration serves as a cornerstone for believers facing adversity.

# Challenges as a Test

Often, God tests us by placing us in situations that seem beyond our capacity. These tests reveal the depth of our trust and commitment to Him. When fasting for your children or praying for a breakthrough seems to make things worse, remember Jesus' words: "Do not be afraid; only believe." The devil may whisper doubts, asking why we continue to trouble the Teacher. But Jesus reassures us to hold on to faith even when our situation appears bleak.

Persevere

Many of us may face situations where our efforts seem futile. Perhaps your prayers for your children seem unanswered, or your financial situation worsens despite your tithing and sacrifices. It's important to remember that these challenges are not signs that God wants you to stop. Instead, they are tests of your faith and perseverance.

Consider biblical examples like Joseph, who maintained his purity and trust in God despite being betrayed and imprisoned, or David, who continued to worship God despite facing numerous challenges. Paul and Silas sang praises even while imprisoned, demonstrating unwavering faith. These examples encourage us to keep pressing forward, trusting that God is working behind the scenes.

# Conclusion

When faced with difficulties, remember Jesus' words: "Do not be afraid; only believe." Keep fighting, praying, giving, and believing. Jesus, the Son of the Living God, is holding your hand, guiding you towards your miracle. Trust that God's plans for you are good, and He will bring you through to victory.

Today, you may be facing a situation where it feels like things are worsening. Perhaps you've experienced setbacks in your health, relationships, or finances. The enemy may be whispering doubts and discouragement. But I urge you to remember Jesus' words: "Do not be afraid, only believe."

"Do not be afraid, only believe" (Mark 5:36). This declaration serves as a cornerstone for believers facing adversity.

We silence the voices of doubt and fear, and we choose to trust in Your promises. Lord, guide us and hold our hands as we walk towards our breakthrough. We praise You for Your faithfulness and the miracles You are working in our lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
