The Throne of Praise:

Our challenges and trials are not invitations to complain but opportunities to offer God a complete and sturdy "seat" of praise.

The Throne of Praise: Inviting God's Presence

Have you ever received a chair with a missing leg? Sitting on it would be uncomfortable, to say the least. In a similar way, we can inadvertently offer God a "chair" of praise with missing elements. The Bible declares, "God inhabits the praises of His people" (Psalm 22:3). This means God's throne on earth is established through our worship. Let's explore the transformative power of praise and how it invites God's presence into our situations.

# Creating God's Throne

In Psalm 22:3, it says, "But You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel." This verse reveals that our praise creates a throne for God. Imagine giving someone a chair with a missing leg and watching them fall. That's what happens when we offer half-hearted praise. True praise, especially in the midst of our struggles, creates a stable throne for God to sit upon.

# The Power of Praise in Problems

When we face difficulties, thanking God in our problems (not necessarily for them) is crucial. Our praise during hard times invites God into our situation. Complaining, on the other hand, invites negativity and spiritual attacks. The Israelites experienced this when their complaints attracted serpents, symbolizing demonic forces (Numbers 21:4-9). Worship draws God's presence, while complaining draws the enemy's attention.

# Historical Lessons: Carrying the Ark

In the Old Testament, the Ark of the Covenant symbolized God's presence. Priests were commanded to carry it on their shoulders. When David tried to transport the Ark on a cart, as the Philistines did, it ended in disaster (2 Samuel 6:3-7). Only when the Ark was carried correctly did God bless their efforts. This teaches us that praise and worship are personal responsibilities, not just for worship teams but for every believer.

# Personal Responsibility in Praise

As believers, we are called to be priests and kings unto God (Revelation 1:6). This means that praise and worship are our responsibilities. When we actively engage in praise, we prepare a place for God to dwell. God's presence drives out negativity and invites His blessings into our lives.

# The Transformative Power of Praise

Praise changes our focus from our problems to God's greatness. It shifts our mindset, lifts our spirits, and strengthens our faith. When we praise, we acknowledge God's sovereignty and invite His intervention. Praise creates an atmosphere where miracles can happen, breakthroughs occur, and God's peace reigns.

# Encouraging Bible Verses

- **Psalm 100:4:** "Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name."

- **Hebrews 13:15:** "Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name."

# Conclusion

Praise is the throne upon which God sits. It invites His presence and transforms our situations. By prioritizing heartfelt worship, especially in tough times, we prepare a place for God's intervention and blessings. Let us commit to making praise a central part of our lives, creating a throne for God to inhabit. Praise!

We hold the privilege of inviting God's presence into our lives through worship. Let us choose to replace complaints with praise, creating a throne for God in our hearts and circumstances.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the privilege of worshiping You. Help us to replace complaints with praise, creating a throne for Your presence in our lives. Empower us to carry Your glory as Your royal priesthood. In Jesus' name, amen!!
