What I wanted Is my life changing story . I was spending my life without a purpose . Me as a young man operating my day to day life normally as every human do. But I was keen to do something and wanted something new . My life was getting shorter but mission was big . Normally people spend their life till 18 getting education and after 18 some continue to higher studies whereas they try to get a job or start a business. Either they choose job or start business it's just for their own personal protection, satisfaction and profit. Even if that business is not their passion they will do it due to family pressure or their lack of skills is hurdle.
But " Family Pressure" was not the problem. I was relieved by my father so family pressure was deleted. But I had second listed problem "lack of skills" . This was the main hurdle in my way to my passion. It was a pleasant night and I was having pleasure mood. I was standing with my friends on the side of street and I was called by my brother to come inside and have dinner. Suddenly someone in gathering vocalized that we had built a "street team" named Malik 11. Till that day I wasn't a good cricketer so I was not officially announced as a team player.
I stood there and asked the captain of team that "why i am not chose?" He incessantly replied "You are not eligible to enter the team as you don't know how to play." Now these kind of harsh words were just like arrows splited from bow and hit directly into heart as i was passionated for cricket. I came back thinking "It was just my assumption that I am a good cricketer. This night due to harsh words my eyes are open towrds my cricket and I am completely aware that i am not a veteran cricketer."
My father when he saw that I am disheartened queried me about my meeting with my friends so I answered "I am mot selected in my street team as I am not a good cricketer". He consoled me and spoked " just do struggle and one day you will reach national team". That incident and few sentences changed my mindset.
Now it was time to do struggle. Luckily there were practice matches of Malik 11 and I insisted them to take me with them so I might learn to play. They accepted my request and now they used to take me on practice matches for which I had to slaughter my sleep and sometimes breakfast. Sometimes I used to play in extreme hotness just to come in team and had good cricket skills. During match the captain of Malik 11 used to dictate me on how to do a good spell and and good batting. I was always yes to his advices and eventually after a lot of matches I got selected. On our last practice match Captain told one of the team player that if Today Abdul Hadi played well he would be selected. Luckily I played well and this was how I was selected.
Now I had to deal with the taunts and oppressions against me made by relatives that I should not make cricket my passion. just enjoy it and play in Malik 11 but shouldn't dream of being a national player. The only solution to it was to hear it from one ear and let it out from the second one.
Now I was officially announced as a team player and my struggle led me to top 5 best team players and my teammates realized a sense of passion in my heart.
So this story was small but had a big impact on my life as I learned if you had passion in anything and you do struggle for it you win it. But struggle is important.
