The thing I am the most passionate about is helping others. As silly as it sounds, my motto since a young age has always been that it is every human’s duty to leave the world in a better place than they found it. Although this is such a cheesy disney channel type of passion, It is the only blanket suitable to fill the long roles of my courses of studies and passions.
As a child my creative passion was chemistry and natural sciences, and in my youth I had a high aptitude for academics. I loved chemistry because, like with the blank page, it allowed for the creation of something new and meaningful, and as long as you aren’t mad; the things you create serve the purpose of serving society. Just as chemistry was my passion in my youth, so was tutoring others. Although I did not realize it at the time when I was 13 years old, I was already being paid as a subcontractor as an educator. Throughout college when I needed “drinking money” was when I first understood and appreciated being a tutor. I began running study groups, and when I began to see the lucrative opportunities I started writing essays for others. I guess I haven’t changed too much because as I am writing this I am currently typing a paper with the idea of a monetary incentive.
After college I became almost obsessed with social dynamics, and psychology keeping my nose in any and all the educational literature I could mentally digest. To this day I still keep a copy of “The 48 Laws of Power” by Robert Greene by my bedside. One day a friend of mine who was introverted by nature and a tad bit awkward, asked me for help. It was at that point I began being a tutor for social psychology and people skills as well. I also was a dating coach for a tad bit of time, but only to people I thought deserved it (not gonna lie I always felt a little greasy being a dating coach). After seeing much success in helping others, i one day decided to write a cheat sheet for students/clients; and one thing turned to another and it ended up being a 40 page book on how to communicate better and build stronger, more meaningful relationships. I still have yet to get it published however, since my perfectionist OCD has turned that 40 page manual to a 60 pager. I will one day though, because a book can reach a heck of a lot more people than 1 person.
During my time as a social skills teacher, I began to realize a lot of the problems clients would have was an internal conflict of self worth. In many sessions I would spend more time improving clients’ mental health than actually teaching social dynamics and body language reading. It was that realization that made me spend a lot of my time advocating for mental health and self worth. I went so gung ho I hit a point where I was giving mental health counseling and treatment (ex. therapy) to more clients than I could even keep up with. But instead of unlicensed therapy I tend to look at those days as me being a really helpful life coach.
I also currently work as a writer, musician, comedian, and actor. I love what I do because the things I create bring joy to others. And my goal is to write, direct, and produce my creations for the big screen and television. Ironically enough due to the nature of our hunter gatherer brains it is found that in both marketing and educating stories seem the most effective way to both persuade and educate people. Whether we like to admit it or not the entertainment industry largely impacts us all, and my goal is to do my part to ensure its positive.
The reason why I enjoy helping others so much is really quite silly, the only answer I have is because it feels good; sorry I don't have more for you on that. And the reason I Am passionate about it is because it feels like the right thing.
The reason people should support me is because it is morally right to want to improve other’s lives; also you're kind of a dick if you don't.
The reason people listen to me is because I have a long track record of making people's lives better anyway I can. The other reason people listen to me is because half the time I am talking to the public I have a microphone.
If I were to currently monetize my passion I would produce a membership service for my works I would mainly focus on the area of mental wellness and social psychology. Posting weekly videos and holding live webinars a couple times a year. I would partner with my best friend who is also a life coach and physical therapist and have him create content related to physical wellness. I would also start a newsletter and interactive message board so that the community could give feedback to improve the service. I would also begin publishing a line of self-help literature in the area of wellness as well. To advertise this I would run a bunch of ad campaigns on all social media platforms and google Ads.
