The True Meaning of Easter

Reflecting on the Spiritual Significance of the Holidays

By Henry LucyPublished 9 months ago 3 min read

Today, all around the world, every Christian is celebrating a special day called “Easter”.

Growing up in a Christian family, I learned and prepared for Easter every April. It was a time filled with prayers, joy, songs and stories about Jesus. Ever since I was born, I often heard that Easter was a day and season to remember the “sacrifice and love of Jesus Christ”. His suffering”, “The bad situation he enchanted and “His good deeds on Earth” were always the center of the story.

Easter is not just one day. It is the season. It starts with “Lent”, a time of fasting and prayer. Then comes “Good Friday”, the day Jesus died on the cross. His death was not because He was guilty, but because He wanted to save the world from sin. He gave His life for others.

After Good Friday comes “Easter Sunday”. This is the day we celebrate the “resurrection of Jesus”. He rose from the dead. The tomb was empty. This is the reason for Easter. It is a day of hope. A day of joy. A day of victory.

Jesus films are being shown on different channels today, the different characters of Jesus are being displayed today, Especially kids are always delighted to watch Jesus movies.
As a child, I enjoyed the food, new clothes, and church songs. But as I grew older, I began to understand the real meaning of Easter. Easter is about “love”. The kind of love that gives. The kind of love that forgives.

There is this thought going on in my mind Right now the thought that people will only think that Easter is only about Jesus' sacrifice and love.Easter has always been more than just a celebration. It is a reminder of something very deep and powerful.

It is not Only about Cooking the best meal and drinking to stupor, spending hugely while there are people struggling to feed on a daily basis but it is difficult for them.

Easter is about remembering our friends, neighbor's,colik’s and elderly people who can not longer fetch for their self,we have to be selfless to love one another unconditional

But that is not really why Easter is being celebrated and reflected on , Christian should know that Easter is also an opportunity for one to reflect on their past. Everything about your life you reflect on it and see if you are moving forward or backward.

It is also a time we Involve love and honesty in whatever we do. Applying love brings togetherness, cherishing one another relieves the auge of bitterness in our hearts and allows love and happiness to sink in us.

Easter is a time to forgive one another, delete every malice from our hearts Reunite with one another, let that love flow like oceans in us.In that way we are celebrating Easter.

We should maintain the life that Easter has turned us to: a life of love, peace, harmony, hope, honesty and the ability to help orders climb mountains when we are on top of the mountain.

The Easter story reminds us that even in darkness, there is always hope, "Just as Jesus rose from the tomb, we too can rise above our struggles and find new life.”

We should use this opportunity to amend our ways and set ourselves free from losing into darkness.

We should understand the fact that Easter is about more than just eggs and candy; it's about love, hope and new life."

FURTHERMORE

Easter is a celebration that transcends chocolate bunnies and colorful eggs, speaking directly to the heart of what it means to be human.

Jesus showed love to all. He healed the sick. He fed the hungry. He taught peace. He forgave sins. And even when people hurt Him, He still loved them. That is what Easter teaches us.

Today, we celebrate Easter to honor Jesus. To remember His life. To follow His steps. To love others the way He loved us.

Easter is not just a holiday. It is a message. A message that says “love wins”. “Kindness wins”. “Faith wins”.

Every April, I remember. Every April, I reflect. And every April, I choose to walk in love.

“This is what Easter means to me”

CONCLUSION

As you celebrate Easter, take a moment to reflect on the story of Jesus and the values it brings to your life. May his love and sacrifice inspire you to live with purpose, kindness and hope.
