The significance of education can be better appreciated by examining the etymology of the word itself. The root word ‘educate’ means ‘to bring up’ and ‘raise,’ indicating that the purpose of education is to nurture and develop children. Educational institutions play a crucial role in shaping the personalities of children by providing knowledge and information. Beyond academics, education also promotes moral values, good habits, social responsibilities, and the physical and spiritual development of the child.

Swami Vivekananda, a renowned Indian philosopher, aptly stated, "Education is the manifestation of divine perfection already existing in man." This suggests that education helps individuals realize their inherent potential by educating them physically, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. Education not only enhances one's personality but also transforms one’s attitude towards others and society. It is a powerful tool for progress and has the potential to change the world.

Early Education

Learning begins right after birth as our bodies adjust to the new environment, learning to adapt to changes and start observing and grasping situations. This early learning, often referred to as behavioral education, starts at home. Hence, it is said that education begins at home.

Formal education starts with enrollment in school, where children are taught various subjects like life, science, mathematics, and economics. This primary education prepares them for the more complex learning that occurs during secondary education.

Secondary and Higher Education

After primary education, students transition to secondary education, where they are given the liberty to choose subjects of interest. This stage is crucial as it shapes their future. High school, or Higher Secondary (HS), plays a significant role, as students are expected to take their studies seriously.
