The Impact on Sexual Morality Supporters
Sex as a cultural battleground – Poland and the fight over sexual morality | DW Documentary
Poland has challenges with sexual morality as a result of sex as a cultural basis. This documentary depicts sexual morality through the perspectives of LGBTQ+ members and sex educators. Individuals discuss their personal experiences with being supporters and the effectiveness of their support. The documentary “Sex as a cultural background” by DW Documentary, explaines the significance of sexual morality, how it has influenced people's attitudes and opinions, as well as how we are all equal. This is demonstrated through the use of pathos by the individuals of the LGBTQ community, bias by photo and caption at pride events in Poland, and the actions of logos through the actions ofin acts to sex educators. Understanding the disparities in people's opinions regard of sex and how individuals are all the same regardless of what people support in society.
The pathos shared by LGBTQ+ members was demonstrated through the demand of equalization. . Alicja, one of the many members of the LGBTQ community, spoke on how she was treated at school because of her homosexuality. Her teacher treated her differently once she discovered Alicja was lesbian. She received several letters from her teacher instructing her to avoid being gay. As stated by Alicja “They were always about how you can be healed, that it's a sin and it's not allowed to live like that.” (DW Documentary 9:27 - 9:48). Her statement reveals one of her own experiences after coming out, which was not received with the support she needed. The fact she had no support in being who she was, and ended up being chastised, establishes a meaning for individuals on how everyone should be treated in an equitable manner, it doesn’t matter who they are. Non-supported individuals have realized that they are negatively harmed by others, and that everyone should just respect them equally. Moreover, individuals made statements for the community by entering an LGBTQ-free zone. Members of LGBTQ+ community traveled to one of the LGBTQ-free zones to sing, dance, and sell products to show their pride. Alicja shared how she and a group of LGBTQ members went to the LGBTQ free zone and spoke with customers. The group asserted “You can take them with you and carry them with pride. I will use them for shopping.” ( DW Documentary 24:22 - 24:25). This exemplifies, emotions of those who were proud to be supporters and demonstrated how ecstatic people were at the gathering. The majority of individuals were proud of the support given and expressed it openly. All of this ties together to demonstrate how everyone may develop and be supported equally.
The bias by photo and caption connects to pride events that occur in Poland which demonstrates the destruction destroyment and misbehavior around children. At the pride events, police were aiming guns at individuals who supported the LGBTQ+ community, which never ends happily. The documentary showed the disasters that took place during pride events. The video showed images of police who shot, and throw through dust bombs at the Pride event (DW Documentary 0:44). This gives a view of the violence during pride events and how the government is not taking action. The unnecessary violence caused by the police force on individuals of the LGBTQ+ community is wrong and shows how sexual moraility supporters are not being treated fairly. This shows the negatives of how we are still not treated equally and it is not fair. In addition the behavoir of LGBTQ memebrs during pride events affected the children, which makes the government more against and not supportive. The man in the video showed some photos of bad behavior during the pride events. In one of the images it showed people who were leashed like dogs and walking (DW Documentary 8:24). The image displayed made the audience notice the fear on the faces of children attending. This proves why the government is not fair to LGBTQ members because of content shown to children which makes the government cause problems at the events. Individuals need to understand that in order for the government to stop the violence at pride events, members have to make sure to act properly near children, so they do not get frightened and are not made uncomfortable. The LGBTQ community should consider how their behaviour affects children's perceptions of their group and what actions the government will take as a result of their actions. This misbehaviour must stop in order to achieve greater equality between the two communities, which will help to resolve certain challenges.
The importance of sexual morality, has shaped indiviuals views and ideas, and how individuals are all equal as discussed in the DW documentary "Sex as a cultural background." The use of pathos by LGBTQ members, prejudice in photos and captions during pride celebrations in Poland, and the activities of logos in acts against sex educators are all examples of unequality. Understanding the differences between the views on sex and how, regardless of what others support in society, everyone is the same. As the documentary has shown, individuals like Alicja used pathos from the LGBTQ community to express the unacceptance faced due to who they were. The LGBTQ community in Poland is putting aside the hostility faced and demonstrating confidence by visiting an LBGTQ-free zone to portray equality. In addition the government has disrupted and ruined all LGBTQ pride gatherings by firing and inciting chaos. Furthermore, disobedience and negative influences on children during events emphasizes LGBTQ members must act in an appropriate manner in order to earn support, but everyone needs to be treated equally. Finally, the documentary depicted the actions of sex educators who attempted to educate on sex education through the use of logos. The time and effort they put into creating YouTube videos for others who wish to educate themselves. This demonstrates how negativity is used in Poland to promote sexual moraility and why this must change. This is crucial because it is the twenty-first century, which means that everyone in the community must understand the principles of life, including how the world has developed and how society needs to act. Overall, this permits individuals to believe and support their own beliefs without disliking a specific community.
