The Democratic representative from California, Rep. Adam Schiff, claimed on Tuesday that Special Counsel Robert Hur "disparaged" President Biden by using language in his report that he "had to know would have a maximal political impact!!!!!!!!!!"

"You decided to go further and make a generalized statement about his memory, didn't you??????????" Schiff asked Hur.

It is technically possible, Congressman, for me to have prepared my report without mentioning the president's memory. Hur said, "But that would have been an incorrect and incomplete report.

You can't tell me, Mr. Hur, that you're so innocent that you didn't realize your remarks would have sparked a political uproar. When you penned those words and chose to include those words, you did have that understanding, didn't you?

On Tuesday, Rep. Darrell Issa, a Republican from California, questioned former Special Counsel Robert Hur on his conclusion that President Biden was "totally innocent." Hur said, "This conclusion is not seen in my report, sir."

"I considered the decision I had to make to the attorney general to be dependent on my judgment. According to my assessment of the evidence, a conviction at trial is likely to occur," Hur said.

And since I think it's so essential, I just want to make sure the record is complete in that regard. You did not come to the conclusion that he was innocent. You decided not to pursue it after coming to the conclusion that you would lose in court. Is that accurate? asked.

In answer to questioning during a five-hour interview, the Democrat accused him of using his report to "trash and smear President Biden," saying he couldn't remember how he obtained the materials.

And you were aware that this would support the Republican line of reasoning that the president is too old to serve in office. Johnson stated, "And the American people saw that was not true during the state of the union address." However, that is precisely what you attempted to do for them, and for that reason, they are hosting you here today in order to develop that story. Did you not realize that was what was going to happen?

Robert Hur, the former special counsel, concurred that he had evidence that "pride and money" were "strong" incentives for President Biden to hold onto secret documents. The former vice president was trying to save information for a biography he was writing that sold for $8 million.

At a public hearing on Tuesday, Hur was questioned by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, who asked him, "Why did Joe Biden, in your words, willfully retain and disclose classified material?"

"He was aware of the legislation. Served in the US Senate for almost 50 years, spanning five decades; chaired the Foreign Relations Committee; served as vice president for eight years; received daily briefings while in the Situation Room," Jordan stated. "You know that he was aware of the.

A Fox News Digital analysis of the recently made public transcript of Special Counsel Robert Hur's interview with President Biden revealed that it both supported the president's habitual forgetfulness and refuted his statements about their conversation over the passing of his son Beau.

A copy of the transcript was obtained by Fox News Digital prior to Hur's testimony on Capitol Hill on Tuesday regarding the investigation into Biden's improper handling of sensitive documents. Hur presented his findings to the public in February, but he described the president as a "elderly man with a poor memory" and did not suggest that he be charged with a crime.

Hur's assessment revealed that Biden had trouble recalling specifics on the date of his son's death. This infuriated the president, who chastised Hur during
