Honoring Rage as the Sacred Teacher that It Is
When I started my teaching profession as a preservice teacher in 2013 I didn’t know how I would cope through my moon cycles once I started teaching full time. I mean, teachers barely get time for quick pee breaks. So I decided to get a Nexplanon birth control implanted in my arm. I went without my moon cycles for the entirety of my teaching career and decided to get it removed in 2020. It was physically and spiritually excruciating to become reacquainted with my moon cycles. But in this year and a half of remembering my moon cycle flow, I have learned that my moon time is such a powerful time for intentional introspection and healing. My womb brings up random unprocessed emotions to be felt, honored, released, healed, and integrated. So this past moon cycle a lot of sadness and sorrow came up because my Roses babies were on my heart. Rage was on my heart. My babies’ rage was on my heart. I hella wept for them.

How to Give Teachers Time
Nothing ruins a classroom climate like a stressed out teacher. Harried, rushed and worried feelings are absorbed by all of the little minds surrounding the adult. Behavior and learning problems naturally result, stressing out the teacher and students in ever perpetuating downward spirals. Allowing teachers to feel less rushed in their day is something that can change a school culture and increase teacher retention.

As a Coach, how to shift people out of fears and doubt?
Coaching, in the world of crisis… People hold stories in their minds as if they are true. Holding onto these rigid thinking patterns is what makes people not think or do things outside the norm. And, this is why people need coaches. This is why Coaches need to coach.

For Teachers Heading back to the Classroom
I'm writing to you teachers heading back to the school house next month (August) because I care about you. Maybe you already have your routine down and you're not planning on changing anything. Good for you, if that works and you're comfortable. However, if you're a teacher still looking for a way to make things "better" for you and the students, I have some ideas to share with you.

Teachers Should Pass A Professional Exam, Just Like Students.
When Millard showed me the key draft of our water test report to me and I saw his idea for teachers to complete the test as indicated by their understanding of the test, I pulled out a red pen. When I got to the end of the report, Millard had begged me to let him think of one of my suggestions # 1. Show Sources

Activities to Improve Reasoning in Children - Swiflearn
Many children with learning difficulties tend to struggle with abstract concepts such as colour or shape. They cannot grasp the idea of objects having an independent existence and helping children to understand the importance of drawing out the meaning of things they see and hear them explain what they are thinking. The feeling is essential to assist them in understanding abstract concepts. There are many ways in which activities to improve reasoning in children can help those children who have difficulty making judgments.

Giving Our Children Roots and Wings
We had the privilege this year of watching not one, but two nests in our hanging baskets this year. Early in the spring it seemed as if the Juncos were waiting for the baskets to be hung because they immediately began building their nest.

A Fine and Frugal Teacher
BE A TEACHER – GET BIG BUCKS… said no one ever. No one gets into teaching for the money. It’s not a well-kept secret that the salary for beginning teachers is on par with your part time mowing grass gig that at the ripe old age of 11 you thought was a great idea at the beginning of summer but then were dreading every moment by the end as you were covered in grass clippings and the random, angry branch scrape and your mom told you that you wouldn’t follow through but you were SO SURE… but in teaching, the passion still drives most of us forward. What I don’t think I realized going in my first year was how much of my own money I would be spending to fill my classroom with necessary supplies.
