Unlocking the Miraculous: Understanding the Power Within

Reframing Our Understanding of Miracles

This message will change your perspective and inspire you to see miracles differently. When Jesus performed miracles, He did so not solely as God, but as a human being. This understanding is crucial because it reshapes our belief in what we can achieve.

Human and Divine Nature

Jesus's miracles were not just acts of divine intervention but demonstrations of what is possible when the divine empowers the human. When He walked on water, the disciples thought He was a spirit, but He assured them of His physical presence. By inviting Peter to walk on water, Jesus demonstrated that physical beings could partake in the miraculous. This reinforces the idea that we, in our human form, can perform extraordinary acts when empowered by God.

Physical Evidence of the Supernatural

Jesus went to great lengths to show that He was not merely a spirit performing miracles. After His resurrection, He asked His disciples to touch Him, proving He had flesh and bones. This insistence on His humanity was to emphasize that the miracles He performed were within the reach of human beings. Jesus's primary goal was to be seen as the Son of Man, showing that humans have the capacity for the miraculous when aligned with God.

Miracles in the Realm of Humanity

Miracles occur in the human realm where natural laws can be defied. In heaven, there are no miracles because everything aligns with divine law, and there is no opposition. Walking on water in heaven, for instance, is not miraculous because there are no laws of gravity to defy. Thus, miracles on earth occur because they challenge and override natural laws, showcasing divine intervention in the human realm.

Jesus's Purpose and Our Potential

Jesus’s mission was to live and die as a man to redeem humanity. By performing miracles as a human, He showed us our potential when empowered by the Holy Spirit. His life was a testament to what we can achieve. When He declared that we would do even greater works, He meant that the same Holy Spirit that empowered Him is available to us.

Embracing the Anointing of the Flesh

The Holy Spirit is poured out upon all flesh, not just spirits. This anointing empowers our physical bodies to prophesy, heal, and perform miracles. Our flesh, often seen as a limitation, is actually a vessel for divine power. When God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, it was His human form that went about doing good and healing the sick.

Redefining Our Flesh

Our flesh should not be viewed as a barrier to the miraculous but as a conduit for divine power. Being in the flesh does not disqualify us from being used by God. Instead, it is our qualification, as God’s Spirit is poured out upon all flesh. This means that anyone, regardless of their physical limitations, can be anointed to perform miracles.

Flesh and Spirit: A Partnership for Miracles

The message emphasizes the importance of the human body ("flesh") in experiencing the divine. The Holy Spirit empowers the "flesh," not as an enemy, but as a vessel for God's miraculous work. This challenges the idea that our physical bodies are a barrier to spiritual connection.

Key Takeaways:

1. Jesus performed miracles as a human being empowered by God.

2. Miracles are demonstrations of human potential working with the Holy Spirit.

3. Our physical bodies are not a barrier to experiencing God's power.
