Praying for Church Growth: Strategies and Insights

**1. Pray for Signs and Wonders**

Signs and wonders are essential for sustainable church growth. A church without testimonies cannot maintain its growth. Let's examine this in the Bible to understand its importance.

In Acts 4:29-31, the apostles prayed for signs, miracles, and wonders. As a result, in Acts 5:14, a multitude of people were added to the church. Acts 5:15-16 shows that the church experienced significant growth due to these miracles. Moreover, in Acts 9:33-35, Peter healed a man, leading the entire city to turn to the Lord.

God has promised that striking miracles will soon occur in our church, gathering both believers and non-believers. Every supernatural church growth is enhanced by signs and wonders, and we must actively pray for them rather than waiting passively.

**2. Pray for the Word of God to Prevail in Every Service**

The Word of God is another cornerstone of church growth. As stated in 2 Thessalonians 3:1 and Ephesians 6:19-20, investing in the ministry of the Word is crucial. Prayer and the Word are the two pillars upon which church growth stands.

When the grass is green, the sheep will come and lie down. Our spiritual pasture must be fresh and vibrant, providing nourishment to the congregation. Psalms 23:1-2 emphasizes the importance of green pastures. A fresh word from God is what makes the church grow. We must always seek what God is saying now and share that message with the congregation.

Knowing what the congregation needs is essential. Sheep don’t have enemies, but they will migrate if the pasture isn't green. They won’t eat dry grass. Thus, we need to deliver timely, relevant messages. The impact of our ministry lies in the quality of the Word we deliver and the examples we set.

**3. Establish a Care Ministry: Cell Group System**

Investing in care ministries through a home cell system is vital for maintaining a healthy, large congregation. According to Exodus 18:20-26, it is God's commandment that every large church be broken into smaller units for effective care ministry. This is crucial in the days of explosive church growth.

We must adopt a biblical strategy for managing large numbers through the cell system. Otherwise, we will have a crowd, not a church. A church is a family, not a marketplace. The home cell system is a God-ordained method, evident in both the Old and New Testaments.

Ephesians 4:16 explains that the growth of various joints leads to the overall growth of the body. For healthy church growth, we must know every member by name, face, and needs. The New Testament church followed the same principle, as seen in Acts 2:46 and Acts 5:42, where they continued daily in the temple and broke bread from house to house. Every house became a church.

Romans 16:5 and Philemon 1:2 also highlight the importance of the church in the house. This system, established by God, helps manage members effectively. A biblically proven care system involves breaking the large congregation into smaller, manageable groups, ensuring everyone is part of the church family, not just a number in a crowd.

**Conclusion for part#3**

Praying for church growth involves several strategies. We must ask the Father, engage angels, pray for signs and wonders, ensure the Word of God prevails in every service, and establish a robust care ministry through the cell group system. By doing so, we align ourselves with God's plan for His church, ensuring sustainable and meaningful growth. Through continuous prayer, active engagement of the Holy Spirit, and a commitment to nurturing our congregation, we will witness the supernatural growth of our church, fulfilling God's promise.
