If so, welcome to my new article designed to enhance your English skills. Read this article until the end to improve your English fast. In this video, we’ll guide you through a fun and interactive learning experience to help you become fluent in English because learning English is essential for success.

We will go through a four-part exercise:

1. Listening Practice

2. Vocabulary Building

3. Listen and Answer Practice

4. Shadowing Practice

Are you ready to train your brain to speak English fluently? Let’s get started.

Part 1: English Listening Practice

In this part, you’ll listen to a conversation between native English speakers. Focus on the meaning of the conversation, as this will help you understand real-life discussions better.

Conversation:

Jake: Are you going to the meeting later?

Lily: No, I think it’s only for managers.

Jake: Oh, so you believe we don’t need to join?

Lily: Did I get you right?

Jake: Exactly. I heard it’s about budget planning.

Lily: Maybe we should double-check with Sarah.

Jake: Good idea, let’s ask her before lunch.

Lily: Perfect, I’ll send her a quick message now.

Jake: Thanks, Lily. Let me know what she says.

Part 2: Vocabulary

Let’s explore some new words together. I will explain a few words and use them in example sentences to help you understand their meanings.

• Did I get you right?

This phrase is used to check if you understood someone correctly.

Example:

A: We will meet at 5 p.m.

B: Did I get you right?

A: Yes, you got it right.

• Budget Planning

This is the process of deciding how much money to spend and save for different things.

Example:

We are doing budget planning for our holiday to avoid spending too much.

• Double-Check

To check something again to ensure it’s correct.

Example:

Please double-check your answers before submitting the test.

Repetition is key to becoming fluent in English. Watch this video multiple times, try answering the questions out loud, and you’ll improve your speaking skills quickly.

Part 3: Listen and Answer Practice

Now, let’s put your skills to the test. Listen carefully to the questions about the conversation, and try to answer them out loud before I reveal the correct answers. Repeating this exercise daily will boost both your speaking and listening skills.

Questions:

1. Jake, are you going to the meeting later?

2. Did Lily ask Jake if he was going to the picnic?

3. What did Lily ask Jake?

4. Why isn’t Jake going to the meeting?

5. Who does Jake think the meeting is for?

6. What did Lily say to check if she understood Jake correctly?

7. Is the meeting about budget planning?

8. Does Lily think they should double-check with Sarah?

9. Who do they decide to ask about the meeting?

10. When will they ask Sarah?

11. Will Lily message Sarah?

12. Does Jake want to know Sarah’s reply?

Part 4: Shadowing Practice

Finally, let’s do some shadowing practice. Read your lines out loud after the speakers as they talk. Pay attention to the rhythm and intonation of the English expressions. This exercise will improve your pronunciation and speaking abilities.

Conversation for Shadowing:

Jake: Are you going to the meeting later?

Lily: Oh, so you believe we don’t need to join? Did I get you right?

Jake: Exactly. I heard it’s about budget planning.

Lily: Maybe we should double-check with Sarah.

Jake: Good idea, let’s ask her before lunch.

Lily: Perfect, I’ll send her a quick message now.

Jake: Thanks, Lily. Let me know what she says.
