"The Greatest Years of Your Life"
I had been so excited to go to University. I didn't know any better. It was four years ago now. I was 22 years old. I had put off University for four years because I had not made a decision about what I wanted to do. I still hadn't really, as I changed my degree after my first year. I enjoyed doing drama, but I didn't want to perform (which I know sounds stupid, but I was more about behind the scenes and it just wasn't what the degree offered). I changed to film and despite knowing it was a 'Mickey Mouse' degree and it would be very unlikely I would find employment in film, I felt I had at least a small chance once I graduated nonetheless. I was smart and efficient. I'm a First Class student, I work hard, I'm mature (in every sense) and so I really thought I'd enjoy university and have a good chance after graduation.

Future Of Financial Literacy Programmes In India
Financial literacy has been one of the main aims for most nations today, directly related to the country's economic growth. It isn't calming to note that India's rate of financial literacy is well behind other countries. According to a global survey, India is home to about 20% of the earth's population. However, 76% of the adult population is not even aware of simple financial terms. The study reveals that India's financial literacy has been low in importance relative to the rest of the world.

I Was Homeschooled and I Turned Out Fine!
I was homeschooled growing up, 2006-2016, pulled out because my parents didn't quite agree with the teaching philosophies and practices of the local school district. I’ll divulge this fact in conversation with new and old friends, and usually, the response I get to that is, “That reads.” They’re right. It absolutely does. There’s some profound subtlety about my character that makes people think, “It makes sense that he was homeschooled.” It’s unclear whether or not that’s a good thing. However, with the advent of distanced learning, a lot of parents are considering homeschooling their students, for a good reason. At the beginning of the pandemic, the infrastructure was not in place for effective remote learning all across the country, on every level of education. I know this. My last semester of college went online midway through, and that entire period of time, the goal changed from “learning” to “keeping my GPA intact,” and teachers were mostly just trying to hold themselves together. I learned effectively nothing, other than the fact that university administrations only seem to view students as liabilities, but that’s a rant for another day.

Low Tuition Is in Very Deep Trouble
Equality of higher education opportunity is in very deep trouble in the United States today. Higher education opportunity is moving backward for those from the bottom quartile of family income, for African Americans, and for most Hispanics. Other groups that are in somewhat less but still serious trouble include the two middle family income quartiles, and males, as well students in many regions of the country affected by high prices but lacking adequate financial aid to finance college.

What happened to education?
When I was in elementary school, we had our normal courses you know, Math, Science, English, Social Studies, etc. We were also very fortunate to have P.E. with an actual P.E. teacher, and we also had Dance class. In Jr. High besides the already mentioned classes we also had Band, Choir, Typing, ASB, AVID, Spanish and even time for accelerated reading. By the time I was in high school we had all the choices previously mentioned and we also had French, Art, Creative Writing, Drama, Welding, Auto Tech, Woodworking, and Home Economics.

The Dangers of Being a Teacher during the Pandemic
As I am writing this I am thinking about how many of my family members and friends have died to COVID-19, I am thinking about how many of my fellow teachers have gotten sick, I am thinking of how many of my students have contracted this illness, and I am thinking about how my school insists that the teachers, staff, and students who have been caught COVID-19 in our campus have not been infected at school, but mostly at family gatherings, funerals, because they failed to wear a mask properly or at all, and a plethora of other reasons.
