Homophobia, sexism, and racism are just other forms of discrimination that are taking its toll on people; and with its increasing popularity it is difficult for everybody to work on equal terms. As someone is bound to be a victim of discrimination.

Racism is a type of prejudice that holds that some racial categories' members have distinguishing traits and that these differences make some racial categories inferior to others. However, this does not stop people from making remarks towards people of color. With this statement, it is important to address that it is hard for people of different color, groups and class to make a living in a place that has a high rate of racism. In any given condition, the victims of racism do not have anywhere to go since half of their homes have been destroyed, due to the raging war in Asia and Middle East. Or it can be said "the majority of discrimination is caused by giving favorable treatment to someone who shares your characteristics, the researchers found" (Covert, 2014). Rather than giving equal treatment to all the people, it is found that people tend to favor another person who has similar characteristics.

Sexism can be described as “prejudice or discrimination based on one’s sex or gender" (Nigam, 2021). Majority of the victims for this type of prejudice are women. This has put a lot of damage to what equality means. This has made many rounds around the world about equality with people making "jokes" towards a particular gender. Nevertheles, kids are ignored while spouses are under stress due to work commitments and financial difficulties. They must constantly be viewed as the pinnacle of virtue, culture, intelligence, and morality. As well as putting a lot of pressure into being told what to do, having a lot to do with the fact that there is no form of appreciation towards the opposite gender.

Homophobia is an unpleasant aversion or bias against LGBTQIA+ individuals. Harassment, discrimination, and violence towards LGBTQIA+ people are examples of homophobic behavior. The hate towards homosexual people leads to many damages done to the people trying to live normally. That's because it fuels wrath and fear and leads to harm toward others; causing the whole world being further away from where everyone is treated equally. There have been many ways in which people have treated homosexual people, or easily said ways in which homophobia has existed:

  • Bullying and harassment of children and adults.
  • Thinking that LGBTQIA+ people have "an agenda".
  • Thinking that LGBTQIA+ people want to "convert" children.
  • Acts of violence, up to and including murdering LGBTQIA+ because of their identity.

With many people and religions going against LGBTQIA+ people, it has led to many negative mental and physical health issues, such as:

  • Reduced mental health.
  • Worsened physical health.
  • Stress and trauma.
  • Increased risk of suicide.
  • Abuse from family or relatives.

Conclusion

It is never a good thing to put someone under pressure and bully them due to their race, class or group; especially when their own health has a risk of deteriorating. Homophobia, racism and sexism has increased with date and time, as well as making its rounds around the world. The number of times people have faced it is enormous. Hence what people don't realize is the impact it has on other people and even going as far that it may have an impact on themselves. This puts a whole new matter into how this situation is handled by the authorities and other people. Homophobia, Racism and Sexism is no joke considering it could put someone under a lot of pressure; as well as their mental health being at risk.
