On hearing the name of Holi, there is a smile on the lips of the children because children get many days off from school, and also many sweet dishes are also made in homes. This festival is celebrated in India as well as Nepal every year in March. At this festival, all the people who live outside of the home to earn their livelihood come to the home to celebrate this festival with their families. On the morning of this festival, all the villagers gathered outside of the village and burn wood.

On this day all the children wore new cloth and play with color And they have no fear of getting their clothes dirty and all the elder people forget each other complaints and grouse and each other hugs. People gatherers in the group and goes every house in the town and met people and show their friendship. On the evening of this festival, people play music and dance.

Simply this festival is celebrated for two days but somewhere this goes to 15 days. In Mathura, this celebration goes for 15 days. Mathura’s Holi is very attractive. Here men apply color to women and women try to escape from the color. Here Holi’s song is also sung in the group. In March, a lot of photographers come to India to capture this amazing moment. When men and women came out in the narrow street from homes to play Holi so the atmosphere there becomes colored. For this moment photographer waits on the roof of the narrow street of Mathura to capture through the camera.

Ancient Recognition about Holi

This festival is considered a symbol of the victory of honesty over evil. It is said there was a king whose name was Hiranyakashyap and he had a sister named Holika. Hiranyakashyap aslo had a son named Prahlad. Prahlad was Devotee of god Vishnu. Hiranyakashyap had a bleesing of Brahma. No one could kill him. He was immortal. He used to worry all the time that his son could be the cause of his death because Prahlad worships Lord Vishnu but his father does not want his son to do so but Prahlad does not stop his worship which makes him very angry and his father wants to end of Prahlad. So he along with his sister Holika planned to kill his son Prahlad. For which a fire is set in a pile of wood. Holika sits in a fire with Prahlad but Holika burns and Prahlad survives. From this case, everyone gets this message that good always triumphs over evil.
