During a recent appearance on the Today Show on February 18, Berry spoke about her new company, Respin Health, which is dedicated to supporting women going through menopause. She emphasized the importance of community, saying, “When women have access to a robust community of like-minded women, they automatically start to do better.”
Fighting the Stigma Around Menopause
Although conversations around menopause have become more common, Berry admitted that she was initially discouraged from talking about it.
"Sadly, people said to me, ‘Are you sure you want to talk about that? Do you want to align yourself with menopause? Do you worry how that will affect your career?’ And I said, ‘No.’"
Instead of backing down, Berry doubled down on her mission. She wants to break the stigma surrounding menopause and empower women to embrace this stage of life.

"There’s nothing wrong with me being in my mid-life," she said. "There’s nothing wrong with being 58, and you have to stop telling me there’s something wrong with me. And I’m going to prove to you that it’s not."
Her goal is to help women take control of their health, learn about their bodies, and navigate this phase with confidence.
Menopause Is a Time to Reinvent, Not Retreat
Berry encouraged women to focus on their well-being and educate themselves about menopause. She believes that knowledge leads to empowerment.
"Women find when they start educating themselves that they can make decisions from a place of power," she explained. "And then they feel empowered, and they don’t feel so hopeless during this half."
She also challenged the outdated idea that menopause marks the end of something. Instead, she sees it as a chance for reinvention and new opportunities.
"It’s not time to sit down. It’s time to reinvent. It’s time to have a beautiful, glorious second act," Berry said. "We can still be our fabulous selves, but we have to learn how."
Raising Awareness and Advocating for Change
Berry isn’t just talking about menopause—she’s also fighting for real change. On her 58th birthday in August 2024, she traveled to West Virginia to advocate for better menopause care. She joined Senator Shelley Capito in supporting the Advancing Menopause Care and Mid-Life Women’s Health Act, a bill introduced in May 2024.
"I can't think of a better way to spend my birthday than fighting for all women," she told Extra TV.
The bill aims to raise public awareness, provide better training for healthcare providers, and improve resources for women experiencing menopause.
Berry’s advocacy is part of a larger movement to redefine aging for women. Many female celebrities are now speaking openly about their experiences with menopause, helping to normalize discussions around it.
The actress believes that instead of fearing change, women should embrace it.

"Everything about our body changes, right? But that’s not to be feared," Berry said. "We just need education to navigate that time."
Her message is clear: Menopause is not the end—it’s a new beginning.
By using her voice, platform, and business, Halle Berry is paving the way for future generations of women to experience menopause without shame. Her work is a reminder that aging is not something to hide—it’s something to celebrate.
