February 25 is election day in Valencia, Spain,

because the right/ultra-right political parties want to eliminate compulsory learning of the mother tongue in Valencia.

Since they are children they will no longer learn our precious mother tongue; You may be wondering: how are they so stupid to do this...? Even I wonder, since it doesn't make sense.

The language is called Valencian and it gives us an identity of our city (it is my city), as well as our country, these are things that should never be lost.

It has existed since 1330; It is long-lived, at the same time sacred and also comes from Latin, representing the most important culture of Valencia.

But how can you vote in these elections? You can only vote if you are a father or mother; If you are a child we do not have the right to vote.

This is how stupid this Neanderthal government is, as they say, "Everything for our Country."

They want to take away this culture, which is so important for our city and also for our country, just to leave the culture that only they choose: the culture of money, which is horrible and dehumanized at the same time.

When I refer to the culture of money,

For example: bullfighting is such a cruel act for poor defenseless animals, who are not to blame for anything and, worst of all, it causes them amusement.

I have lived in Valencia since I was born and these are things that I will never understand, how they come to think it and, worst of all, actually do it.

Just thinking about it says a lot.

Learning one more language being bilingual, from a young age, will provide you with learning capacity, more knowledge when learning another language.

The learning bases and with Valencian you will have a greater chance of finding a job, much sooner than someone who speaks only Spanish for some positions, at the same time for any project it will open many doors for you which they want to close to us.

That they want to take away Valencian from us is like taking away a part of us, a language that gives a name to our City, a unique recognition of our own education, which can only be given in Valencia to our future society as it is exclusive.

These types of governments do not look beyond what benefits themselves, erasing traditions, erasing ways of educating, focusing only on what will improve their economy, not socially and even less in a more cultural environment.

Just the fact that they respect our own customs, a culture that has remained firm for so long and representing what really matters, is enough for us.

If someone does not want to learn to speak the language or learn it, we are human to respect what you do not want and the people want, it is time to stop thinking from our ass instead of from the opinion of an entire city.

Respect others and we will begin to respect you, you cannot break what has always been ours, simply because someone who has power wants to do it, without any type of reasoning or consent from your own people.

You just have to understand that not all of us want that, because having an opinion like that makes us ignorant and we are not ignorant, we are a people that loves what belongs to us, fighting for what we have facing, representing what truly is love to our own people.

We don't ask for anything but peace, having what has always been ours/belongs to us and real respect for people.
