Discover the Exciting World of Pickleball: Rules Made Simple!

Pickleball, the popular sport played in singles or doubles, is gaining momentum worldwide. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America and there is more and more data that suggests we are just at the beginning of this sport gaining an insane amount of popularity. Join the action and learn the basic rules that will have you dominating the court in no time:

- Scoring is straightforward: points are tallied by the serving team, with the first team to reach 11 points emerging victorious. But there's a twist - you must win by a margin of 2 points for ultimate glory! The other interesting about scoring is in doubles there is a third number called which is one or two. That number denotes whether it is the first or second server since the wideout. For whatever reason this number throws people off especially for the first six months they start playing.

- The serving position is determined by the score: if it's even, serve from the right side; if it's odd, serve from the left. Stay on your toes and strategize to keep the momentum going! Serving on the wrong side is a fault and if your opponent figures it out you automatically lose that point where the infraction occurs.

- Follow the serving protocol: hold the paddle and ball below your waist, serving with an underhand motion that keeps the game flowing smoothly. You can hit the ball before or after it bounces. Most people choose to hit it before it bounces but some do let it bounce.

- Serve diagonally cross-court: show off your precision and finesse as you aim for the perfect spot while obeying the rules. You can serve the ball fast or slow, hit with or without spin, and make sure the ball lands atleast seven feet past the net diagonally. If the ball lands in the first seven feet of the court on a serve it is a fault or if it hits the line denoting where the kitchen starts.

- Faults disrupt play: serve until a fault is committed, which refers to any violation of the rules. The first serves begin from the right, and if points are scored, the server switches to the left. Intense competition awaits!

- Master the two-bounce rule: after the serve, each side must let the ball bounce once before returning it. Be ready to unleash an electric volley or capitalize on a timely bounce.

- Enter the "no-volley" zone within 7 feet on both sides of the net lies the challenging “no-volley” zone also affectionately known as the kitchen. Restricting volleys, this zone demands strategy and precision. Hitting a volley in the kitchen or stepping into the kitchen after hitting one results in a fault - a true test of your skills!

- Precision is key: a ball touching any part of the line is considered "in", keeping the game fair and exciting. The only exception to this rule is the kitchen line when serving. The line is out in those instances. So avoid the kitchen line fault: a serve that hits the kitchen results in a kitchen line fault, reminding players to aim with accuracy and control.

Prepare to take the pickleball world by storm with these rules that deliver an electrifying and fast-paced experience. Know the rules they are the rules for a reason. Failure to know the rules of the game can result in points being lost every game and someone who cares about their craft should not let that occur. Are you ready to unleash your inner pickleball champion? Let the games begin!
