January 20, 2020 is was 23 degree:
FREEZING, but never snowed, only sunshine.
When there is not a sunrise to see we
decided to take photos of my friend
and the dam with the mountains in the background.
When looking at this photo you see joy
from a snow day but had no idea that
we would be out of school in two months
because of COVID-19. Do you see the excitement
in her eyes from the unknown?
As an unknown the mountains in the background
shows that there is more to a photo than
just the person or object that is the focus.
Unless it is a product to be sold.
When looking through the eyes of
bright luminous colors in the world
I will see what the water, trees, grass, blankets,
shirt, and anything that is a color. What
stands out to you before you see someone’s
face? Do you see their face or their clothes?
When I see people I see their face unless their
clothes are neon colored. How is that when looking
at my best friend in this picture,
the first item in the photo is
the bright colored blanket that she got from Guatemala.
The place that the photo was taken was at Cherokee
dam in Jefferson City, TN.
The day the photo was taken we
were there to watch the sunrise
but it was cloudy until it was time to
leave.
Latter in the day we when on a
quest to find prom dresses. I
drove all over the county to find
us both a dress but neither of
us found one that we bought,
I found one at the first place but
it needed sleeves, so I didn’t get
it. That day I used little over a tank
of gas to drive us to all the places
that I could think of.
A month or so later my bestfriend
texts me and tells me she found a
dress, she will show me on Monday
when we are at school. It is almost the
same color as the one that I wanted to
get but mine was way darker. But what
we didn’t know that we would not be
having a prom this year because of COVID
we were lucky that we even got a graduation
(which was awesome).
How is it that when you look back just a few
months you remember what you were planning
to do on prom day, then what you would be wearing
how you would be getting there, who you were going
with? I wanted to start planning what that we
would be doing in January but she kept saying
lets let it get closer before we start planning.
I said “ok” and went on with what was going
on in the world around us.
Economics was the class that had just started for
second semester. Hard is an understatement of a
word to use. Trying to understand something that
is in everyday life, that should come naturally,
was not. We were having more and more projects
that were getting more and more hours of work
being put into it just to get a decent grade. On top
of the fact that we did weekly work, discussion,
quiz that was no more than ten questions. One day
our teacher was not there and we worked on school
work for the first thirty minutes of class then someone
got up and started playing pictionary. One person
started to draw me and I saw it quickly, so I said it
and got to have a turn. I draw the Louvre in France
because I went there for fall break.
