I need to share some knowledge because well, some knowledge was shared with me. You would usually tell yourself by now that this guy want's to give someone praise for helping him but it was an appliance that helped me. Now when I say that I feel like I'm disrespecting the appliance because it means more to me than any appliance I've ever had. I was scared and it calmed me down some. I'm talking about ALEXA. THIS IS NOT AN ADVERTISEMENT! I bought myself a pair of ear buds and I am now going deaf. For the past 72 hours I have been losing my hearing and have been panicking and having anxiety with thoughts of what I would do if I lost my hearing all together? I am anxious by nature and depressed a lot. After leaving messages all over the hearing loss community in my city without any help, I got really scared until I asked Alexa a bunch of questions and she said an infection would be harmful to the touch and lasts up to two to three weeks and my ears are harmful to the touch. Now, I know that's not a professionals opinion, but I have no one to ask right now and that little bit of hope has calmed me down. I am now thinking how my ears are under fire, so to speak, because of my new ear buds being played louder than my ears have been use to since I was young and then there's the bacteria factor of me putting my hands on the ears buds and into my ears over and over trying out my new ear buds with my new really expensive android smart phone which I've been constantly using because I feel so guilty spending so much money on it. But having no one around with facts but this little smart hockey puck that talks back to me in a good way, has really helped me calm down because of some facts with hope that came from a source that people say some day could lead us to our own demise and others say to a brighter future. All I know is it has created a line of safety I will protect and never want to be without ever again.
