A little Q&A:
1. What is my favourite colour?
I don't have 'one' specific colour, but some of my favourites are: black, rose gold, teal, and dark grey.
2. What is my favourite book?
I really enjoy romance or mystery fiction, some of my favourites are: The Girl On The Train, All the Bright Places, Everything Everything, The Sun is Also a Star, Eleanor and Park, The Fault in our Stars, The Book Thief.
3. What is my favourite movie?
I love movies that make me cry (hehe), rom-coms, and recently I've been loving mystery/thrillers. I really like TFIOS (I cry each time!), Hush, The Notebook, Everything Everything, Inception, the Divergent series, Mortal Instruments, The Breakfast Club, Mean Girls.
4. Do I have any hobbies?
I used to do karate for around 3 years, I used to love playing the piano, I enjoy basketball and badminton for sports, I love reading/watching movies and listening to music, also writing.
5. What are my plans after A-levels?
After A-levels, I want to go to a good university and complete an undergraduate degree there, I also want to travel a fair bit when I'm in my twenties.
6. Have I ever had a mental breakdown?
Yes, so many times.
7. How I achieved my gcse maths and English Language?
Maths, I've always been relatively good at it and passionate about it, past papers and practice questions were my best friend for GCSE maths. English Language, it was my lowest grade (6=B) I did expect to get at least a 7 in it, as in all my mocks I had gotten a grade 7 and above for it, but I think it was just a bad paper for me. We did loads of practice paper questions, and I made mindmaps of all the language and structural techniques that I can identify and expand on in my answers.
8. Do I want to go to uni?
Yes, I want to go to a Russell Group uni, and complete an undergraduate course, and maybe a placement year.
9. What are some stereotypes regarding being smart/good grades?
-That you always get good grades, in every single test.
-That you're the teacher's pet.
-That you have no social life.
-That you study 24/7, 7 days a week.
-That you are naturally smart, didn't have to work for it.
-You have high expectations from your parents, which is why you're smart.
10. Which uni? What do I want to study?
My ideal uni would be LSE, however I have a few others in mind too. I want to study Economics at uni, and in the future I want to go into something finance/banking related.
11. Basic tips for year 11
-Don't leave your revision right to the end.
-Ensure your notes are completed before February half term (max).-
-Don't force yourself to study all the time, take days off and spend time with your friends and family.
-In the half-terms, go out with your friends at least once, and just have fun.
-Look forward to the end of the exam period, you will have Prom, and also the longest summer ever.
12. Do I have any pets?
No, I don't, but I used to have a goldfish when I was younger, called Goldy (typical I know 😂)
