6 Ways To Make Your Home The Best Learning Space For Your Holistic Homeschooling Child | HomeSchoolToGo
Make a Special Place in your House for Holistic Homeschooling.
It's been hard for parents of kids who go to school to deal with the quarantine because 2020 is the year of distance learning. It's likely that this year, parents will become Holistic Homeschooling teachers for their kids.
Keep the stress of your kids learning from home to a minimum by making it fun and productive for both of you. And a big part of this is setting up a good Holistic homeschool learning space in your house.
From our experience with Holistic Homeschooling students at HomeschoolToGo, we can give you some tips and advice on making your home the best place for your child to learn while at home. Make this new project a success by being patient, flexible, and creative with online resources and other Holistic Homeschooling parents and being patient and flexible yourself.

Make a Special Place in your House for Holistic Homeschooling.
While it might be tempting to set up Holistic Homeschooling sessions on the couch or the dining table, these places aren't the best places to learn. It will be easier for your kids to focus and be more disciplined if you set up a separate area for them.
With so many Holistic Homeschooling setup ideas on Pinterest, you can play around with many different ideas and keep changing them up to keep things exciting and fun.
A traditional classroom setup with desks and whiteboards or a personalized learning space of your own. You can also choose how you want to set up your Holistic Homeschooling learning space. Stickers and posters that make your kids feel good should be on their desks, so you should help them decorate them.
This is where you can get creative with stationery and hand-made crafts. Try to pick a place near things like the TV, video games, or areas with a lot of activity. Have a big room with many windows so you can get a lot of sunlight and fresh air. It would be best to get your child a desk with a chair, some fun study paraphernalia, a whiteboard to make learning more fun, and other essential stationery supplies. Even with all of this, make sure it isn't cluttered.
Make this space feel good. Having good sun-light coming into the room could be significant in the winter, it could make the room too hot in the summer. So, buy a good heating and cooling system to keep your learning space warm and cozy.
It would be best to make sure that the room is only used for Holistic Homeschooling. Even if you were to turn it into a playroom, the kids might not be able to keep their attention there.

Find Out How Your Child Learns Best.
Your child will be able to make the learning space their own if you let them do so. These questions about how your child likes to learn will help you build a better learning space for them:
- Do you think your child is better off learning alone or with their friends?
- Can your child stay still for a long time, or are they used to moving around?
- Is your child a fan of a lot of natural light and prefers to sit next to a window? They can only focus in places that aren't crowded or noisy.
- Does your child like art? Are there any people or people who inspire them? It's important to know what images they find exciting or motivating.
- Determine how many people can fit in their classroom, whether your child needs everything close at hand or prefers a clean workspace.
- Does your child learn better when they work together and have group discussions? If so, you can use a round table to invite other kids to join in on the learning.
- If your child likes to think and make things, bring in whiteboards, drawing paper, and a more extensive or more personal desk.
- Does your child like to make things? Have a lot of fun with science experiments. These people might want to work and learn in a more industrial setting.

It's also good to use your whole house and outside space as a Holistic Holistic homeschool classroom.
Your home and the rest of the world can be a great place for Holistic Homeschooling kids to learn. Turn your home into a learning space for your homeschool.
- The best way to learn is to do it outside. It's a good idea to set aside time for your kids to learn and read together. You can do this on your balcony if the weather is nice, in your garden, while walking along the beach or in a nearby park. So they can take a break, get some fresh air, and enjoy their books in a different setting.
- You can use your walls to help you teach. You can put up educational charts, fun math facts, English grammar practice stickers, US and world maps for geography talks, Math tables for quick practice, word lists for building vocabulary, or your daily learning schedule on your walls.
- It's a good idea to make fun STEM projects (with keeping safety in mind, of course). Make a virtual science lab in a different room in your house or outside in your yard. Give your kids plants and fish to care for so they can learn about biology in a hands-on way.
- Look for ways to make lessons fun, engaging, and hands-on. It is part of your child's science class to learn about trees. Your child needs a magnifying glass to study bark, branches and leaves close-up. You can take your child outside to do this. Start a garden now. There is a seed in the ground, and it grows into a plant with red, juicy tomatoes.

Use Technology To Learn.
The proper use of technology in your Holistic Homeschooling classroom can make it a lot better for you and your child. Here are some ideas you can use interactive technology to help you think outside the box and:
- One way to make your Holistic homeschool learning space more fun is to set up a projector next to a blank wall in your child's room. Then, play a short video on the projector that explains the lesson topic with visuals and examples.

Use YouTube.
The resources on Youtube are excellent. Please make the most of them. YouTube has a lot of tutorials on new skills and crafts that both you and your child might enjoy. Make time to learn a new skill together, like playing an instrument, writing, drawing, digital art, game coding, photography, and more. You can also learn a new craft or a skill that you can use for a long time.

Find other Holistic Homeschooling parents to talk to and share ideas.
Technology can help you connect with other parents who do the same thing when you homeschool. It's a good idea to join groups online or make one with your friends and family. You can also try online "study meetings" through Zoom.
Contact the parents of your child's friends to talk about assignments, advice, or to be there for each other when you're teaching at home.
The best way to get ideas for educational resources is to join local online parenting or teaching groups.
Diving In
In this guide, you will learn how to organize your Holistic homeschool space and how to set up a new, exciting learning area where you and your child can work together.
Understand that each child's learning journey is different. This will help you help them learn. Some kids might be good at learning at home, while others might not. A parent needs to know what works for their child and change how they do things. Make sure to do this to make the learning environment and experience just right for your child or children.
Think about it: You're also new to this whole at-home learning thing. You're learning, too. Try new things to make the lessons more interesting, and remember that mistakes and frustrations are part of the process. There are many people out there who can help, so stay in touch with teachers, friends, and Holistic Homeschooling groups.

HomeschoolToGo- New Years Activity Bundle
Taking the time to reflect and get clear with your intentions before a new beginning is a common practice for many cultures, and I believe the value one can extract from this kind of practice is directly proportional to how seriously you take your own practice.
Reflecting and becoming aware of your intentions is the first step. The second step is to make an implementation plan, and the third step is to be consistent with that plan throughout the year.
Hence I created some activity sheets you can look at and fill out with your children, to spark up valuable conversations, set goals, reflect on the year living, and prepare for a better one ahead.
