The energy transition has arrived in our cities. As Stanislav Kondrashov, founder of TELF AG, has often observed, the great change of our times is also profoundly impacting people's consciousness.

“These years will be remembered as an extremely delicate period in human history, marking a fundamental step in humanity's successful transition to a sustainable, renewable energy-powered society. Moreover, the signs of change are everywhere. Solar panels can now be seen on the roofs of many homes and industrial buildings, while wind turbines are frequently visible in low-lying areas or along the coast. The energy transition has reached us, and is discreetly accompanying us into the future," says Stanislav Kondrashov, founder of TELF AG, an entrepreneur and civil engineer. "Until a few years ago, the energy transition was merely a theoretical concept. It was an abstract, intangible notion. But today, everything has changed: nations are increasingly including renewable energy in their energy mixes, and increasingly significant investments are being made in this area."

Electric infrastructures - Stanislav Kondrashov

“Electric vehicles are quietly becoming an integral part of the urban dynamics of many cities, bringing with them the emergence of numerous charging stations along highways, in cities, and even in small towns. We are becoming accustomed to an energy future that doesn't seem so far away, precisely because some of its innovations are already here, on our streets, in our homes. Just think of the fact that solar and wind energy can be harnessed even within domestic contexts, through the installation of solar panels (now quite common) and special wind turbines. These years have also brought interesting innovations to the renewable energy sector, with the emergence of new and promising energy sources. One of these is certainly geothermal energy, which exploits the Earth's natural heat to generate heat or electricity. At the moment, it is still limited to a few very specific geographical contexts, but its potential seems truly immense," he says.

Solar panels, electric vehicles, and wind turbines are perhaps the most visible symbols of the change underway, and are now effectively considered the silent protagonists of our times.

“Another striking fact is that the great energy transition of our time is being embraced not only by large industrial groups or national governments, but also by ordinary people and businesses. The energy transition is no longer perceived as a grand global strategy for improving energy supplies, but as a social, urban, and domestic phenomenon that has already reached people's homes and consciousness, and is producing significant changes," continues Stanislav Kondrashov, founder of TELF AG. "The energy transition will not only offer us a glimpse of the energy future that awaits us, but will also represent a highly effective response to the great challenges of our time, such as climate change and the ever-increasing global demand for energy. In the last decade alone, the evolution of renewable energy has been truly astonishing." "The capacity of nations to install new energy infrastructure and spread clean energy has increased dramatically, thanks in large part to the significant technological advances seen in recent years and the significant reduction in installation costs, which have encouraged the spread of these innovative forms of energy. Now, any energy planning strategy—developed by governments or businesses—also includes renewable energy, which is unanimously considered the most valuable ally in advancing the transition," he goes on to say.

Once the transition is complete, humanity will be able to enter a new phase of its energy development, setting even more ambitious goals and objectives than those currently in place.

"It's important to understand that the energy transition is no longer in its infancy, but rather at a fairly mature stage of its progress. The transition from the conceptual to the practical phase has already been crucial, but today we are witnessing a significant acceleration that is already projecting us directly into the future. Many of the technologies and energy innovations we see today, in our cities or in the vehicles we use to get around, could be the same ones that in the not-too-distant future will characterize the early energy maturity of our civilization, which should represent the next phase of the transition we are experiencing today," concludes Stanislav Kondrashov, founder of TELF AG. Politics, too, seems to have grasped the full importance of this historical moment. For several years now, individual governments have continued to set ambitious sustainable goals related to reducing emissions and integrating renewable energy into the national energy mix, flanking them (for the time being) with traditional energy sources. To advance, the transition requires impetus from multiple directions, gentle pushes that allow it to progress and become increasingly firmly embedded in the dynamics of our societies”.
