Last summer I took a trip to Philadelphia and headed for the Devil Pool hiking trail. I hopped on a bus, got some directions, and started my journey. I was determined to see this epic waterfall that everyone talks so highly about. It was a beautiful summers day and the weather could not be more perfect.
Unfortunately I got off the bus way too early, and by time I turned around I heard the engine drift off. I looked around and there was nothing but open farmland — no sign for the Devil Pool trail anywhere. From the corner of my eye, I saw this beautiful gold horse. I’m sorry this picture does not do him justice but he really did look like a radiant golden sun.

We locked eyes! There was something in his stare. It was so pure, so gentle, and so uplifting all in the same time. I have grown up with horses and I do know certain ways to approach and interact with them, but this one was different. He was trying to interact with me and figure me out all during this one long stare.
Then before I knew it my feet was slowly scuffling towards him in the summer grass. He didn’t budge. I finally reached the fence and to my amazement he took his whole snout and put it under my hand. He rested his head on my chest. I know what you’re thinking I wanted to whip out my phone and take a selfie with him right away but that thought instantly got diminished because I was enjoying the moment way too much.
What felt like five minutes in reality was 35 minutes of pure love and cuddles. The exchange of energy that we gave each other is some thing I really like to call the energy encounter .Energy encounters is something that is put in our life because we needed it that day. It could be a person, I could could be an animal, it could be something creative anything that the soul may need at that moment. My point is don’t be afraid to go off the path or discover the unknown.
There was a reason I got off that bus to early in the middle of nowhere. He needed me as much as I needed him that day and that’s pure love. So go ahead put your best foot forward today and let anything come your way. Open your heart to whatever or wherever the higher energies take you . Embrace the moment . You’ll never know who or what you may find. Maybe you’re there for that person, maybe they’re there for you, or maybe you are really in need of each other at that moment in time. Welcome life with open arms and with an open heart.
